If 10 stars were an option, I’d give this place 11! This place has been a home away from home for me and my kids for a few years now! I can’t say enough about how we love it! Wether you’re going to tent camp, RV camp or get one of their AMAZING cabins or just go spend the day (I’ve done all 4) for a weekend or just on a Tuesday, you will love it here! I’ve gone alone, with my kids, with TEN KIDS for birthdays! As soon as we pull in we’re HOME! The property as a whole is immaculate from the sandbar to the bath houses, to the kids park, the owners and staff are extremely friendly and accommodating and they strive to make everything family friendly! They really put a lot of love and work into the property and the experience you’ll have. From roaming the sandbar to karaoke nights and movie nights to just letting your kids roam around and walk to the park! The kayak trip is beautiful and CLEAN and so much fun! They even have an on-site store for all that stuff you know you’re gonna forget to pack!! Including firewood and ice!!! And if you’re lucky you’ll get to meet Jake! Follow the rules, respect the space, smile and wave!! If you’re looking for a place to be this summer, don’t walk, RUN! You’ll definitely be back for more! Thank me later! You’ll more than likely...

Absolutely wonderful! Ohoopee Campsite is perfect for getting away for a weekend or hosting a family function. The best part is the river, where we enjoyed swimming and kayaking. I wrote this review two years ago, and I want to add that every single time we go, which has been over the course of three years, it has always been amazing. Each visit, we meet so many great people, and the sense of community is fantastic. The campsite is well-maintained, and the rules are enforced, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone. They offer a variety of activities, including karaoke nights, kayaking, and just lounging by the river with a cold drink, which is the perfect way to relax after a rough week. The owners are incredibly friendly and accommodating, always making sure guests have a great time. The pricing is very reasonable, making it an excellent value for the experience you get. We will continue to visit Ohoopee Campsite until we are too old to do it anymore. It’s become a cherished tradition for us, and we look forward to many more wonderful...

This is definitely a rural campground on a somewhat swampy river. The road 2.3 miles is a sand road, which is taken care of to the best of their abilities, but not something you would want to take a nice large camper or motorhome down. The sites are pull through and long however your view is of rows of full time residents with no rule of order or neatness. I understand the benefit of full/long term but those coming for vacation should have a nicer view. Maybe a separate area would help. There is a rule for dogs but not followed by the owners and their large dogs leave large deposits on your site leaving you to clean it up. I went to use the washer and dryer but they were so discusstingly filthy I walked out. Never used any of the restrooms but i can only imagine the condition they would be in. But for the locals to come tent camp and kayak it would work. The photos do not represent the current look of the...

This is a beautiful campground filled with moss filled oaks that sits right on the Ohoopee River! The sandbar/beach is an amazing spot to sit and enjoy the river! They offer many activities including kayak rentals and they even shuttle you up the river so you can paddle back down and take out at the campground sandbar. The staff here is great and in addition to many RV and tent sites they also have several quaint little cabins that you can rent. They also do live music here on their custom outdoor stage from time to time. They also have karaoke on the weekends and show movies on the large outdoor screen.

This was my first time camping with an RV and let me tell you this place was it. I drove 6 hours to this campground from NC and let me tell you that it did not disappoint. It had plenty of stuff for the littles to do from volleyball to cornhole to a cool sandbar in the river. They had stuff for the adults too . My wife and I really enjoyed the kayaking down the river . The bathrooms are really clean according to my wife and mother also they are very strict about cleanliness and the speed limit
