Comfort Inn & Suites Barnesville - Frackville — Hotel in Mahanoy Township

I have stayed in many Comfort Inns before but this one was the best! I really had an excellent night's sleep here and the room was spacious and clean.||The room exceeded my expectations in that it had a small kitchenette when you walked in and a table to get business done. There were no great views but the room's window could be closed off for a good nights sleep. The location was right off the highway and it was easy to get to after a long trip.||The bed and the mattress were beyond relaxing. I got one of the best night's sleep on a long business trip and slept so well. I did not want to get up. The mattresses are soft and firm and offer an excellent night's sleep. The linens smelled so nice and the pillows you just wanted to sink into. You will not want to get out of bed the next morning.||The complimentary breakfast was also very nice. They had waffles, cereals, eggs and sausage, all sorts of breads, pastries and fruit and an assortment of juices and it was all hot and fresh and they kept replenishing it. The hotel does have a down side and wanted to close the breakfast at 9:00am which is ridiculous as this is when people are getting up for breakfast. Marriott's keep it open until 10:00am or even 10:30am so that people can sleep in and relax.||Overall though, for the price that I paid and the friendly service and easy check in check out and the comfort level, the hotel is an excellent bargain and the visit will exceed your expectations. I was in the area for a concert and was very pleased with my experience. I called the day before arrival to confirm the reservation and to see if I could check in slightly early so that I could get to my function on time. The woman on the phone was very friendly and accommodating. On the day of my arrival, I was greeted by a very friendly woman who made sure to go over all of the hotel information with me. I then proceeded to my room to drop off my bags and arrived to a very spacious and CLEAN hotel room. This was a breath of fresh air for me. I left my room to attend my function and when I arrived in the lobby, the same woman who checked me in, asked if my room was to my satisfaction and asked if there was anything that I needed. I came back to the hotel very early the next morning and was very impressed with the fact that upon entering, the main hotel door needed to be buzzed open for my entrance. This made me feel very safe, since I was staying alone and especially for the fact that I arrived back so early in the morning. To complete my wonderful stay, when I went to check out, the very same woman was there to check me out, and the nice touch was, she remembered my name. Very clean. Very quiet considering the the proximity of Interstate highway and Morea Rd.
Beds too soft. We (wife and I), think it’s the mattress topper making it difficult for older folks like us to change positions. We’re a bit arthritic. Sound from people walking up above a bit amplified as well. But nice and quiet after they settled in for the night. Bathroom well lighted and supplied. There should be a grab bar assisting those getting in and out of shower. Shouldn’t have to hold to the towel bar. Room itself very well supplied. It was a pleasure. Breakfast was good. Sausage patties for making a breakfast sandwich much more palatable than the links. (Links made with too much filler). Good selection of breads, cereal, fruits, yogurt, and even the coffee and tea. Observed was the kids happy with the dad who made them waffles with syrup. I myself enjoyed the orange juice that actually tasted like fresh orange juice. The staff checked regularly to restock and wipe down counters and tables. The pet area very nice. Lots of room to walk our four legged kids. The grounds maintained well. Grass and plants trimmed nice.
