Our welcome from Betty at guest services was helpful and respectful as I set up a new member account and my fiance had to complete a name change on his account. We won equal to 25% of our starting budget on our first slot. The promo for new members for play credits was not impressive enough to make me excited to be a new member to be honest. We ended up with many entries into the fishing boat drawing
We checked into a smoking room originally unsure if this accommodated cannabis. We validated with front desk it did not and they were happy to accommodate a non-smoking option for us upon request. Friendly hotel check-in staff.
Room was tidy and spacious; we had a king standard for a free night welcome back promo. No refirgerator or microwave available in room nor communal. This was unfortunate considering their Sprotsgrill was generous with their portion to price ratio for food. Our food was cheap. But on a smaller average budget it was appropriate and classic American. I had hoped there was information displayed on the in and out of sports bidding so we could read up on it during our meal but unfortunately the they had no such info anywhere. The waitress we had was kind but not confident in her knowledge about the use of points for food discounts and our bill ended up being discounted partially so we lost out on 50% of our $30 voucher. We learned this later when we were informed but another staff at the Bistro the previous waitress had sadly misinformed us how those points are used. She stated she wishes staff were better educated on member benefit uses for this because "it happens all the time."
Check out was happily convenient with a simple text and boxes for room keys. We took to the floor and were so so excited to play Roulette on this trip and were under the impression it opens at the same time as the other tables. It does not. After a whole morning of asking various staff members what time thw roulette table opens and being told, "we do not know that information," we finally reached a table staff group who told us it would not be until late afternoon when that person comes in. Other tables opened at 10am, Slots opened up at 8am but were not hitting anywhere all morning so this was a bummer for us. We ended up cashing out and leaving by 11am. Shout out to Ann who was a Gem of a person that was servicing the machines as promised and had a kind demeanor. Also to Wendy who was bartending and maintained a sweet nature and smiled often. Many staff did not smile and seemed overworked or frustrated with customer attitudes. I hope this review shows members their kind nature improves staff attitudes for better experience!
Overall decent experience with special appreciation for the walking paths and fire put located between hotel wings; however no staff nor no signage informed us of how we could make use of the fire pit or the times.

But because service got when we first started going here last year was nearly 1st rate! We did take a break this year from driving so far. But, a couple of months ago we decided to go back. We are still pretty happy with our game play there. Win some loose some, and leave. Because we look at what we choose to do for entertainment. We are nearly to a point of it no longer being fun. Then itās time to find something else that is. We have had tough losses at times. Plus rarely we have left with more than what we came with. This past weekend we spent our 22nd wedding anniversary doing what we like to do. Plus we appreciated the free room. We started going down hill with our allowance to less than half in a few hours. Took a break and ate dinner at the Rapids Bistro. Had a great burger & hot fries! Walked through the courtyard for some quiet tranquillity. Headed back to our clean and tidy room to change into our swimming suits. Went for a soak in the hot tub, swam in the pool, sweated things out in the sauna. Then went back to the gaming floor. After our needed break we were like all the people who you see winning. Who you get jealous seeing win spin after spin. Like we couldnāt loose, for almost an hour we were on fire! Going to bed with what we came with! We woke up the next morning and had breakfast at the Big Lake Buffet our server Lily make sure our table was clear every time we came back with a new plate of food. Then within of just a couple of hours we couldnāt win anything. Just unsure that we could sustain anymore losses. So weāre to a point of winning at another casino, and then losing here. We have hopes that the feeling of being able to play here like when first started come back. Most of the regular employees here appear to be happy & positive. But the interactions of other upper echelon, started off with warm greetings. But since we started coming back, seem cold, and distant. Making me feel like Iām a burden.

I started with dinner at the bar and service was slow and the bartender disappeared for a while and didnt refill my beverage. I tried later to get the players club to do a tier match to other casino clubs I have, only to be told that they only do it for the top tier (which I was). They responded next with it is only for new players. I dont understand all the barriers to welcoming ALL players. After ALOT of play on the VERY tight machines , I was actually lucky enough to win a jackpot. Even with that I was still down. The staff took ages to actually pay it out. I wanted to get a room but was told I free rooms they offered at my level were Monday to Saturday. I could have paid but I was now hemorrhaging money in the slots after the jackpot, losing it and more. Its amazing how the change was, like night and day. I was playing as last call came about and the server came by and the group next to me were having an issue with her saying they would walk themselves to the bar rather than be served by her. They continued to explain the bad service after the little tiff they had previously. Shortly after, I moved on after losing yet more on that machine. I made it to the high limit room again and lost more. As I played I crossed my legs and hit pad with the controls. I caused a "tilt" by accident. I waited a bit and nothing. I next went for the service button and sat and sat and sat. I play in many casinos as I travel and this is the first time I have encountered a high limit room without an attendant. Im not a snob and dont expect people to wait on me hand and foot. It took so long, I simply got up and left. I was so peeved at this point I just walked out and left 100 bucks in the locked machine. I ended up sleeping in the car while it stormed because I had to fuel up before heading out but the gas station was closed. I wasnt planning to leave til the morning.
