I just got home from the police station and this is what I get for trying to get away for a couple days
I stayed at This hotel for a couple nights just to get away with a friend. The first night she came and we went out to dinner. The hotel was having an issue ( first room was flooded, second room smelled very badly of dog pee) so they moved our rooms a couple times and by the time we got to room # 3 we were starving. We ended up just going in putting our stuff down, changing our shoes, and kind of running out the door for dinner. When we were returned back a few hours later it was apparent that someone had been in our room. The towels were moved and used and things were out of place. We kind of talked ourselves out of that idea and tried to convince ourselves that maybe we had moved the towels. Although we knew we hadn't. It just didn't make any sense because we hadn't been in the room long enough to use the towels. But again we kind of thought we were crazy and went about our night. We went to the pool and when we came back we took showers and hung out in the room. When it was time to go to bed we were still very shaken up by the fact that we thought someone had been in the room so we barricaded the door shut. In the morning My friend was leaving and I was going to be spending the night alone so I spoke to the manager told her my concerns that someone had been in the room and that I was not comfortable staying in the hotel by myself. I ended up moving to another hotel for the second night.
I got home from my trip tonight and was talking to my partner about the experience. I went on to Google and found that a man the same night that someone had been in our room had found a camera in his room. And he was going to go report it to the police. So I just went to the police and made a report about our situation. To make the matters worse. My friend said that in the bathroom on the shelf next to the toilet paper was a little black box similar to the one that the man had taken the picture of in the review. She said that she thought that it was just my USB charger. We went back to the hotel tonight and there are no cameras in the hallway outside of our door so we don't know how we're going to get to the bottom of this. But we are concerned that someone has footage of us showering and using the bathroom And the hotel staff let us go in the hotel room and there is no black box there now which means that someone had to have retrieved it since we left. The room is completely as we left it and has not been cleaned since. I checked out 2 days ago and everything is in place except for the Black box.
I feel like I'm going to puke, but thank God for intuition. And thank God I didn't decide to stay in that hotel by myself
The police called the hotel and They told us that they would give us camera footage in the morning but we went by the hotel to see how long they keep the footage for and we asked for how long they store the footage and the hotel called the police on us. When the police got there. They told the police that there is no camera footage and the police asked why they had told them on the phone that there was and they didn't have an answer for that. The police are investigating but in the meantime no one should be staying...

The police are investigating multiple reports of cameras found in rooms that night. I just went to the police and made a report about our situation. To make the matters worse. Read moreI have been an IGH Member for more than 8yrs. I have always recommended Holiday Inns to family, friends, and coworkers. This ends TODAY, March 25th, 2021. I checked into the Holiday Inn in Mansfield MA for the 2nd time in 2 months while on business travel. The first time I stayed I quickly noticed that my room was dated and needed to be upgraded. Last night when I checked in late, I was issued a handicap accessible from. Upon my entry into the room, I again quickly noticed the room was dated. The floors were stained, the bedsheets were also stained, the bath towels were stained, there was rust in the shower and the desk and countertops had a film on them. In addition, there were bugs all over the floor and window. Tired from the 12hr drive, I decided to speak with the Hotel Manager the following afternoon. Upon my return to the hotel, I noticed the side entrance open. As I entered my room I noticed that I had no power. The groceries I had in the refrigerator were spooled. I approached the front desk and the young lady behind the counter stated that the township had lost power. Understanding she had no control over that situation, I asked her if she knew how long it would take for power to be restored, and she stated, "No, but I am guessing around 6ish, you can download an app and track progress yourself". I stated that I reserved a handicap-accessible room as I sleep with a breathing machine, is the room connected to the hotel generator? She stated "no". I further stated that the groceries I had placed in the refrigerator had spoiled. She stated that there is nothing she can do about it. I stated that the door on the side of the building is being held open. She stated that is because the generator does not power the side doors only the front door. I started is the hotel not concerned about their guest's safety by preventing unauthorized individuals access. She stated how else are the guests to get in. I stated, "By using the front door, which is monitored by YOU the front desk representatives, your side doors are not monitored by anyone and the cameras are down because of the loss of power". Fedup with the hotel I contacted IHG directly. They placed me on hold for 40 mins as they tried to reach the hotel Manager and then the line went dead. Again, 8yrs I have been with IHG as a Platinum member. No more. Relocated to the Hampton Inn down the road, night and day. Friendly staff and super...
