If you’re anything like me, you’ve probably scoured EVERY review before booking — and let me tell you, every single 5-star rating is 100% earned. Let’s start with Denise — she’s a host like no other. From the moment you start making arrangements to arrive, Denise sets the tone. She’s not just a host; she’s an experience curator. Attentive, thoughtful, and full of special touches that make your stay unforgettable and take it to the next level. Honestly, she’s a 1,000,000 out of 10 — absolutely phenomenal. The place itself? Again, words and even pictures don’t do it justice. It’s heaven on earth. Peaceful, beautifully designed, and just magical. You could never leave the property and still have the perfect getaway — though if you do want to explore, Denise has amazing suggestions. I surprised my boyfriend for his 40th birthday and told him we were going camping — in 100+ degree Texas heat. He was not thrilled... for two months he griped & was in a very bad mood at me. His tune changed and he definitely ate his words and actions as he stated in the guest book he signed….: “When my girlfriend told me we would be camping in the middle of 100+degree Texas summer for my 40th birthday, I wasn’t the most happy I’ve been. But after making the last turn on the long, dusty road and seeing the safari tents along the river, I had to eat my weight in crow. This place is definitely a repeat offender. 10/10 we will do again. Such an awesome and relaxing place… plus an outdoor shower?! What’s not to love?” Just book it. Even if you don’t think you’re into camping — you’ll fall in LOVE with this place. "The care and thought that Denise and Scott put into their property to ensure their guests are comfortable and have everything they need is unparalleled. The larger resorts should take note, they could learn a lot from Denise and Scott.

We had a very refreshing, comfortable and relaxing vacation, “Safari for the Soul” offers it all. There is so much to do in the local area and Denise is an encyclopedia with detailed information for all of it. We chose to not go anywhere and relax in the tent, sit by the fire pit with our morning coffee, and enjoy the peacefulness of the front deck watching and listening to the wildlife. Had we not been so lazy, Denise had plenty of information on the many nearby restaurants, parks and local activities available.

The tent itself is both clean and comfortable with A/C and heat and many extra touches to make the guests feel comfortable. Everything needed to grill outdoor meals including dishes and glassware is provided along with a small refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker with coffee. The outdoor bathroom and shower are amazing and private, stocked with quality linens and soaps, and hot water forever.

Can’t forget the jacuzzi either. It was the best while coffee was brewing in the morning and with a glass of wine in the evening.

It isn’t often to find a private vacation rental where the owners take as much pride and care for the property and their guests’ comfort as we found here. There’s no question, this one sets...

The private bathroom with hot water, eco-friendly toiletries, and a well-equipped kitchenette made the stay incredibly convenient. Site even offered outdoor hot tubs or fire pits, adding to the overall charm. The owners was welcoming and attentive, ensuring every need was met without being intrusive.

Scenic Beauty & Activities: The location was breathtaking, surrounded by lush landscapes and serene views. We decided to stay at the tent the whole time and enjoy the moment.
