**Talula Mesa - A Heartwarming 60th Birthday Celebration** My daughter surprised me with an incredible 60th birthday celebration at Talula Mesa, and let me tell you, it was an experience I’ll never forget! We stayed in the Grand Aztec, and it all started with a charming porch complete with two cozy rocking chairs. When we stepped inside, we were instantly greeted by a gorgeous wall of windows showcasing stunning views. The bed felt like a dream—like sleeping on a cloud but with just the right amount of firmness for anyone with back issues. I slept like a baby during our stay! There was even a hammock waiting for us indoors, just calling for lazy afternoon naps in the lovely sunlight. Trust me, it’s totally okay to doze off mid-book; you’ll definitely want to take a nap while you’re here! The furnishings in the yurt blended perfectly into the open and airy design. They were super comfortable and looked great without cluttering the space. Once you’re ready to unwind, hop into the hot tub for a relaxing soak before thinking about dinner. If you brought along some groceries, you’ll be delighted to find two grills and a cozy dining area nestled under a massive tree—perfect for enjoying a glass of wine alongside something delicious straight off the grill! And don’t miss the sunsets; they are truly spectacular, painting the sky with beautiful colors that will take your breath away. After dinner, you can wander back to the yurt for another dip in the hot tub or gather around a campfire, soaking in the beautiful stars and the peaceful sounds of nature. You’ll really get to appreciate the saying, "The stars are big and bright, deep in the heart of Texas." The mornings here are just as magical. You’ll find yourself wanting to rise early to make a wonderful cup of coffee and take a peaceful stroll to the overlook, where you can admire the ever-changing beauty of the landscape. Our host, Shannon, was absolutely lovely! She made everything easy for us, ensuring that check-in and our entire visit went smoothly. If you ever need anything or have a question, Shannon is more than happy to help. I can’t recommend Talula Mesa enough! It’s a place filled with beauty and warmth, and I hope everyone gets the chance to experience it for themselves. You’ll leave with a heart full of wonderful memories!

Glamping here was so amazing! I went with my husband, 10 month old baby and dog. We all had a great time. I could not believe how cool we stayed in the “tent” in the middle of July!! The heat was not an issue at all. It even got pretty cold at night. The cowboy pool was also so refreshing! I was a little worried about how that would stay cool but it did. Under the trees and 2 covers it was perfect. I’d like to emphasize this is glamping and not a full on hotel or home. The bathrooms are rv/camping ground like and the outdoor showers are “shared” but there’s a lock and plenty of space. Make sure to bring shower shoes and you’re set. The breeze was really nice on a cloudy summer day because of how up high we were on the hill. It’s definitely that hill country vibe all throughout the property which is huge and gorgeous. Grass was pretty well kept being that it is the country and Texas. The owner was an amazing host! There were a few things we needed throughout our stay but she took care of every one of them.

My girlfriend and I had an amazing weekend at Shannon's glamping site! The Grand Arrow tent was stunning, with floor-to-ceiling glass walls offering breathtaking views of Lake Travis and the hill country. The sunsets were unforgettable. While we didn’t do any water activities, we loved hiking at night and stargazing — the sky was incredible! There were also lanterns set out across the entire property and it made for such a beautiful touch. The grill made for a perfect evening outdoors. The tent itself was so comfortable, with a king bed and hammock that made our stay extra special. Shannon was a fantastic host, ensuring we had everything we needed for a peaceful, relaxing escape. The combination of privacy, nature, and luxury made this the perfect getaway. Highly recommend the Grand Arrow for anyone looking for a unique retreat. Thank you, Shannon, for such a memorable experience!

Unfortunately, the experience was far from what was advertised. The jacuzzi was filthy with dead bugs and not functioning properly—it was cold and the controls didn’t work. The pool appeared abandoned and dangerously hot. The grounds were overgrown, the lagoon area was messy with knocked-over furniture, and the outdoor daybed had no cushions. There were no logs for firewood anywhere nearby as advertised. Inside the tent, the A/C was far too weak to keep it cool and really ugly and loud fan had been placed in front of it to help it out. We were sweating, which was especially concerning since we had an infant with us. To top it off, a bat flew at us from the porch, clearly nesting nearby.||Overall, the space seemed neglected and in need of serious upkeep. This felt more like camping than glamping—yet we paid nearly $1,000 for a premium experience. Because of these conditions, we ultimately chose not to stay and are requesting a full refund.||Our point of contact was a really nice woman who helped us out up until the point when I started pointing these things out to her. I am now trying to get ahold of her but she won't respond my texts and is flat out ignoring me. I feel this place have once been really nice, but this was not the case when I stayed there...

A Perfect Getaway in Texas Hill Country – Highly Recommend!

If you’re looking to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy some peaceful relaxation, this glamping resort in Texas Hill Country is the perfect spot. The property offers multiple areas to soak in the stunning views, and it's truly a place where you can unwind.

The glamping tents are fantastic – spacious, clean, and thoughtfully designed. You can really tell the owner takes pride in the resort, as the attention to detail in the accommodations is top-notch. Whether you’re staying with family or as a couple, this place has something for everyone.

One of the highlights of the stay was being so close to Lake Travis – paddleboarding there was a total favorite! After a day of adventure, the hot tub was a perfect way to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings while stargazing. The location is convenient for a weekend getaway, just a short drive from Austin, Dallas, San Antonio, or Houston, making it easy to escape the city for a quick break.

Whether you're seeking family fun or a romantic retreat, this spot is ideal for either. I can’t...
