Have stayed here several times and this is definitely the LAST!! We come to Marble Falls several times a year and Watermark has the accommodations we need; however, what we need and what we get are totally different. Sure, the units are a good size and can accommodate several guests, but don't expect luxury. The beds are pretty comfy, but very uncomfortable couch and chairs, in the living area. For such a roomy living area, you get a very small mounted flat screen with limited cable television. Come on guys, you can do better than that! The WiFi is going to cost you too. Who charges for wifi anymore? This should definitely be included. At check in, be prepared to have to hear all about their time share options just to get your bogus parking pass. Check-in should be quick and easy, not full of time wasting pressure sales, and lots of unnecessary questions about who is staying with you and their names, what car you drive, why you're in town, etc. This is none of your business!! Check us in, hand us the keys and the 'parking pass' and say "Enjoy your stay", and that's it. End it! You've got our security deposit, isn't that enough? They WILL NOT accommodate special requests either. Forget even asking! If you get a unit on the top floor, be aware that you will have to lug your belongings up and down several flights of stairs as there is only elevator access in the handicap building. It is very inconvenient, especially if you are bringing heavy coolers and groceries to stock the kitchen. Hope you're in good shape with no health issues! There are gas grills in a few locations, but just know it probably won't be that close to your unit and you are required to man the grill at all times and provide some type of extinguisher in case of flair-ups. This pool is just ok and the splash pad is less than desirable for the kids. There is an ice-maker in the freezer, but it won't be on when you get there so be sure to turn it on as soon as you get in your unit and you might have enough ice by the time you pack up to leave! There is an ice machine on the lower level of the office, but you have to ask for an ice bag at the front desk, go downstairs to fill it, and schlep it back to your unit. In the summer, move fast or you'll get back to your unit with a bag of ice water! If you need extra supplies, toilet paper, paper towels, salt/pepper etc., they will accommodate you, but you need to go to the office to get them. Don't expect delivery service. Want your room cleaned, beds made, trash carried out? Oh yes, it's gonna cost you, BIG TIME!! By the way, you are expected to carry out your own trash to the trash bins outside so find out where they are so you're prepared. They probably won't be on your level unless you are on the bottom floor. Want clean towels? Yep, wash them yourself. You can definitely request more, but head over to the office. Again, don't expect delivery service. I could go on and on but I think you get the general idea. Save yourself the overpriced experience and opt for an A-BnB, or the La Quinta. It's just up the road and the service is impeccable, and there are plenty of reasonably priced rental options out there other than...
Read moreWyndham has a clunky and inefficient procedure to reach the booking service for Worldmark properties. If that were not enough of a frustration, we never received a confirmation email after booking or follow-up communication prior to check-in. On the night before arrival, we called the front desk several times to confirm our reservation, but the overnight staff never answered our calls The phone just rang and rang. Strike One.
When we first visited in 2019, the reception area included a refreshing beverage station featuring cold water, delicious Lipton iced peach tea, coffee with assorted creamers, and hot water with tea bags. Our 2023 visit featured nothing. Moreover, the two PCs at the business station were inoperable. Strike Two.
On the brighter side with occasional shadows . . .
Our suite was clean and midern, offering everything we needed for function and comfort. The electronic fireplace was on the fritz, but the maintenance staff was unsurprised when we reported it. In other words, it was a long-standing problem that had never been resolved. To their credit, daytime staff were personable and engaging. The concierge desk was eager and ready to serve when asked.
Our Presidential Reserve status garnered no special amenities. The Internet service package for ten days cost $16 for two devices. That's not much, but it represented another downgrade in service from our 2019 visit.
The fitness center offers dumbbells up to 50 lbs., an adjustable incline bench, one elliptical, one recumbent bicycle, two treadmills, and a supply of towels. A TV mounted on the wall was a dissppointing yesteryear feature. No cardio machine offered integrated media streaming. On top of that, there were no way to mute the piped in overhead music.
Recreation entailed table shuffleboard and pocket billiards. No change from 2019. The felt surface of the billiards table, all along the inside perimeter, was dusty, definitely in need of a thorough vacuuming. Outdoors, the swimming pool, splash pad, jacuzzi, and firepit were in good shape with ample seating and patio lounge furniture.
Unlike the Worldmark resort, which appears stuck in a lack of inspiration, the City of Marble Falls showed noticeable growth and improvement since our previous visit. Plenty of eateries and watering holes, boutique shops, wineries, nearby historical sights, and outdoor adventure to satisfy most tastes...

Lake LBJ, named after the former United States President Lyndon Baines Johnson, a Texas native from birth, is one of four lakes created by five dams. The city of Marble Falls sits just north of the easterly flowing Colorado River.
The first lake in the Marble Falls area is Lake Buchanan which sits farthest west. It is held back by the Buchanan Dam.
Moving past the Buchanan Dam, is the second lake; Inks Lake, contained by Inks Dam.
There then flows a section of the Colorado River which is eventually joined by water flowing from the Llano River. The Llano River converges into the third lake and dam; Lake LBJ and Wirtz Dam.
The fourth lake is Lake Marble Falls, and runs past most of the city of Marble Falls, finally ending at the fifth dam; Max Starke Dam. From there, the river continues on toward Austin with other lakes and dams along the way.
When traveling north on Highway 281, it bisects Lake Marble Falls which then takes you into downtown. The Visitor Center is just south of 2nd Avenue and west of...
