Castle Care Campground — Hotel in Marietta

Wanted to stay close to Downtown Marietta to see the sites, so found this little campground just couple miles up the road. Very nice owners and very simple to arrange to stay, called the day before and was told no problem. Meet with owner awhile after setting up. Just very simple laid back enjoyably stay. This is a small campground and is mostly long term working man’s setup, but has a few over nighters, thank goodness they had a spot for us. Full hook up with great WiFi. Called here to get advanced booking for a trip for my son's travel ball team. Wanted to book a campsite, in advance, for mid- July and was turned away because they have "reoccurring customers" that they want to save sites for. When I asked when I should call, mind you, it's February, I was told to call back the week before arrival. Given the competitiveness of campgrounds now-a-days, I'm not going to risk, not having advanced plans. Told the lady that we would look for somewhere else to go. This place has the best Wi-Fi on the planet!! (This is/was kind of a joke because I maintain the wi-fi; but it's nice to see some other comments about decent wi-fi). As far as the guy commenting about overnight stays, this is an intractable problem -- with only 21 sites, the owner can't very well schedule somebody 5 months ahead, and then be faced with a situation of having to turn away LONG TERM guests because some spot is held so far in advance.
