Vero Mountain — Hotel in Mars Hill

I don’t remember the last time we were this relaxed. My wife and I stayed in the #3 Glass Suite and let me say, it was remarkable. The views of the wooded mountains from bed were breathtaking. The two level deck with hot tub, grill, and small eating area were perfect. The stream running beside the deck added everything you could want. The place was spotless and had everything needed to have a nice cozy weekend away. 5 stars is not enough.

The added bonuses are the people. Christine is more than the owner. She is part of the mountain. Everything she has done to the place added to the mountain without taking away from the beauty of it. She clearly loves sharing it with people and it shows by all the detail and serenity that comes with it. The neighbor Scott was an absolute blast to meet and couldn’t be nicer as well. The stories, oh the stories!!! We spent time with horses, goats (some tiny baby ones), the donkeys that follow you around and nose into your conversations, literally. But the sweet baby donkey, Daisy, melts your heart. The dogs were super friendly and enjoyed some petting. Let’s not forget the chickens and pigs as well. The full petting zoo experience.

Omg this was Dream Come true ! Thankyou so much for having us . So when you first arrive on the property you have to drive at least 3-5 minutes up to the domes . It definitely is a narrow rocky path to get up there but our Honda made it . Out of the 3 domes we stayed at the Truth Dome . Our first time in the mountains on our honeymoon this place was perfect . The view is breathtaking , the overall dome is beautiful . The location of the jacuzzi is on the lower deck and gives u closed in privacy with a sitting area . The pictures are exactly what u get . The owners definitely welcomed us with great hospitality . We had everything we needed . We also got to experience the Northern lights the same weekend they were going to be in Nc. They were beyond beautiful from the moment you wake up and look up . The price for the dome is well worth it. We definitely will be back again . This place is incredible. Chris and Jillian are truly the best hosts, so attentive and caring. You can really tell they love this spot and care about their guests. We stayed at Vero Mountain for a total of 6 nights for our honeymoon. On our first night (arrived Sunday), we stayed in the Truth Dome for one day for the experience before moving down to the glass suites and just WOW…it’s a must see and we will be back just for that. We stayed in glass suite - unit #2 with our cat from Monday-Saturday and it was perfect. A beautiful spot along a flowing stream, the hot tub and grill were used multiple times, it was quiet and beyond peaceful. We don’t have a single negative thing to say about it. If you are looking for a spot plenty close to Asheville but far enough away to completely unplug, please stay here. You will not be disappointed. We can’t wait to...
