Super 8 by Wyndham Marston — Hotel in Marston

If you are easily upset, this is not the place for you. The lobby is drab, but the rooms actually look nice. The cleanliness was very unacceptable. The vanity had a dead bug on it, which I could've overlooked, but there was also accumulated dirt, dust, hair & a dead bug on the floor outside of the bathroom. The toilet & tub had dirt spots that easily came off with a disinfecting wipe, which tells me that no one wiped down these things beforehand. There were unflushed ashes or something in the toilet, and while I believe they were laundered, there were some stains on the sheets & towels. Luckily, I do prepare for these kinds of things, so I did my own cleanup, but training and quality control should be addressed here. I'll also note that the hallways & steps were not vacuumed when I arrived (I did see someone vacuuming as I was leaving), which did not feel welcoming.

In the morning, there was no hot water from the time I woke up to the time I checked out, even after letting water run for several minutes at a time.

The location is good, as it's just off the highway, next door to a Subway, and a One9 Travel Center, which has many things you might need while staying away from home.

Overall, I feel I paid too much for what was provided and wish I had stayed...

The score for this hotel is straight up a lie. It’s an old hotel that could use a serious remodel. It’s TIRED! The mattress on the bed is old and slouches in the middle. The pillows are no better. They are flat as can be. The stuffing in them is deteriorating and they stink like B.O. the bathtub also very old to the point the coating is coming off . So it looks like it’s never been cleaned. The seal in the toilet is bad.the toilet leaks bad leaving a puddle on the floor. The Window in the room doesn’t even have a lock on it. The carpet is old and the entire place smells musty of old cigarettes and incense to mask that other odor. You can TELL whose proud to own a hotel, and whose just in it for profit. We paid $115 to stay here BECAUSE we TRUSTED THE FAKE REVIEWS! Never again. There was really nothing good...

Booked a stay here through a 3rd party (because they never picked up the phone after several attempts) only to arrive and get told they dont have a room available. I was told to cancel my stay through the third party in which I still ended up being charged. Now the third party has been trying to contact them to verify this is what happened so I can get refunded, but this place NEVER answers their phone so I'm not sure how this will ever be reconciled. All could have been avoided had they had an accurate update as to how many rooms they have available through booking.com and or knew how to answer the phone....
