Well, I ended up at this quirky little inn for a two-night stay in the Standard Single Room. It may appear small, but the charm was surely there. From the moment I was in the lobby checking in, I felt welcomed here. They gave me an actual key, opposed to a key card, which was really convenient. It definitely may prevent you from losing it, as you can easily attach it to your personal keys. Let’s hope you don’t lose those, either. It was a good idea in my opinion.
My girlfriend and I checked out our room first. It seemed slightly dated, but at the same time, it was very clean. The bed was comfortable and did the job that beds are supposed to do. There were mainly only minor flaws in the room when it came down to cosmetic details. I was able to park my car almost right in front of my door since we were on the ground level.
They gave free breakfast with our stay. It was located in a house that was conveniently still on property. It was about a minute walk from our room. We are the breakfast two mornings of our stay. I tried the scrambled eggs, a sausage patty, a chocolate-type of pastry, and biscuits and gravy. For drinks, I tried the Orange Juice and Coffee. We sat outside the first time, since it was pretty crowded and we wanted some privacy. They have some tables right outside. The second day, we did get to dine inside at a table. The eggs tasted cheap. The sausage was okay, but still wasn’t worth the calories. The biscuits and gravy had the closest taste to decent food. They weren’t that great, but they were good enough to swallow. The Orange Juice and Coffee were both about average. I’d complain a bit more if I actually had to pay for it.
They had a cool little trail that was on the side of the house. It was about a two-minute walk and swooped back around towards the house. The whole outside area was casual, yet quirky.
The employee that checked me in was very friendly and got me my room key fast. Checking out was just as fast and that employee was also friendly. In terms of service, this inn had it down graciously.
Overall, I recommend this place if you’re looking for a quiet, relaxing stay. It’s a bit off the main grid, which can also be a plus for the right patron. If I’m in the area again, I may return for another visit.

Read moreAmazing! I cannot recommend this place enough. I stayed the night before at Baymont and it was disgusting! So I found this place on trip adviser and am so glad I did. Check in was easy and the owner was very friendly and sweet. It was well priced and even cheaper than some of the other hotels around. It's a regular looking hotel room, 2 beds, tv, desk, chairs, suitcase holder, clean refrigerator. This one had a nice little coffee station in the room with a Kurig coffeemaker which was really nice. It was comfortable and had all the basics but is special because of all the little touches. They had Bed Bath & Beyond soaps, lotions and shampoos, they made the hand towels and wash clothes into pretty towel fans, and the towels were crazy soft. The alarm clock had a phone charging station and a USB port to charge or play music. The bed was comfortable with clean linens, mattress cover and each bed had 5 pillows each! It was extremely clean! The carpet was spotless and they swept very well, even in the corners and behind the chair. The toilet had a clean seal wrap on it and the toilet paper was folded in a cute triangle. I couldn't find a spec of dust in the room, not even on top of the TV stand. If I didn't know better I would have said they had my mom clean the room! It's an older under the window heater but gave out good heat - I stayed in January and had to turn the heat down and I like it warm. I was traveling for work with another woman and we always felt safe. Outside had good lighting and I never heard the TV or noise from my co-workers room next door, so the walls had good sound proofing. Your room comes with breakfast and I would stay for that! Breakfast is served at the old farmhouse next door and it is lovely. It was all homemade and a large selection, fruits, pastries, eggs, hash, oatmeal, and much more and did I say homemade! Plus the woman who was running that area was so kind and friendly. They had an outdoor area that looked like it would be beautiful in the warm months. It's a great place for couples, people traveling for work and even guys. At breakfast there looked to be a construction crew staying and they sounded like they stayed often and really enjoyed the home touches. Great experience when you have to be away from home but want to be...
Read moreEverything from beginning to end was top notch. Such a beautifully kept historical boutique family owned motel. The grounds, rooms, facilities all are immaculate and in excellent condition. The care given to the property and every detail shows. ||We took advantage to the pool to cool off after a hot day which was a nice bonus. We were told at checkin that the fireworks from Kings Island are visible from the pool. So after our cool off we stayed and waited for the show. How fun to sit at the relaxing poolside table and watch fireworks. The pool closes at 10:00 but they let us sit inside the fenced area until after the fireworks. ||We then strolled around the grounds to find the breakfast building and also discovered a beautiful gazebo well lit to enjoy the garden area. what a peaceful relaxing finish to the night by enjoying the fresh lavender aroma in the garden under the stars. ||Breakfast was in the old historical house. There were plenty of food options both hot and cold. The table had white tablecloths along with real china cup and saucers. When we walked in the attendant was scrubbing the woodwork of the cabinet’s. Not only was it beautiful, but you knew it is cleaned and maintained. ||After breakfast we tool a walk around the circular walking path in the garden. Talk about a treat to wind up your stay. There were uniquely pruned trees, statues and lovely flowers along the path. It was like being in a miniature park. Just a gorgeous surprise when staying at a motel just minutes from a theme park. ||The room was perfect as well. No silly rain shower head which in my book is code for no water pressure to rinse your hair completely. The bed had very comfy pillows atop the crisp white sheets. The room had every amenity one could need. ||I can’t imagine choosing to stay anywhere else when in the Cincinnati area! Two big...
