Hatfield McCoy Cabin Rentals — Hotel in Matewan

This place is super clean, close to the devil anse trail head and close to food, gas and fishing! The staff is helpful and friendly! The train tracks near by are busy but after a long day of riding you'll sleep right through them going by! The town of Matewan is in riding distance and has a Mexican restaurant that is very good! There's another restaurant in town that is only open on the weekends. If you need supplies dollar general is right next door! There's a community sink to do dishes, fire pits for each cabin and a grill at each cabin. There is a small refrigerator in each room and a microwave! The shower and bathrooms are very clean and everything is new inside your cabin. No community shower house like other places we looked at staying! The wifi works great too! The only dislike I have is the queen bed in cabin 7 is harder than my liking but we went to Walmart 20mins away on got an air mattress to put on top of the bed and slept just fine! There is also a hose near the office to wash your quad after each ride! We will definitely come back here for our next Hatfield and McCoy trail riding trip! We visited here from PA to ride our dirt bikes on single track. Due to a bad storm we got in late but Jeff had our trail passes ready to go in the cabin for us in the morning. He also called us on the road to make sure we made it in OK. They are very friendly owners that go out of their way to make sure you have a great stay. Cabins are nice and clean and include air conditioning, linens, towels, coffee pot, TV, microwave, fridge, gas grill, fire ring and wood. The only things you really need to bring are your bike/atv/utv and riding gear. Cabins are located far enough off the main road that the setting is private, but are also very close to the Devil Anse trail head where you can access Devil Anse, Buffalo Mtn or Rock House. I can't say enough good things about these folks and their facility. I would definitely stay here again....

We have been coming to Hatfield for the last 4 years and staying in the same place Outback ATV Cabin rentals. Unfortunately this time we felt that the prices (that changed) were not told prior to booking the cabin. On the website it said $100 a night for two people. He took a $100 deposit for the first night. When we checkout the price was way higher then we thought or saw on web page. We planned to be paying other $100 for additional night plus taxes. We ended up paying additional $180 plus was charge a credit card fee to use a card (which also was not told about or was it posted any where).
