American Inn — Hotel in McGehee

I stayed there overnight because of vehicle problems. The place is shabby dirty, bugs crawling on the wall, cold air blowing in through the windows that were closed YouTube gaps around frame, countertop with stained cigarette holes burn in the sheets she's old and ripped. This was definitely a no tell motel and I'm ashamed to tell I stayed at that Motel. I would not have if it had not been freezing weather. I had no choice. But I will take precautions to make sure I'm not traveling through that area late nights. The door would stick in you couldn't get it open without fighting it after several tries you can open the room door but have there been a fire you might have been trapped you might have suffocated trying to get out. The refrigerator had Parts laying in the floor. It obviously hadn't been cleaned recently due to the amount of handprints and fingerprints inside the fridge on the glass Shelf. Wreaked of old cigarette smoke call and the furniture veneer was worn worn through on most of the furniture. The bed mattress appeared worn out but considering how tired we were, it slept pretty good. Any port in a storm is the only reason to stay there. Price... 1 bed...

Best thing about this motel is the location. I believe the female who works there might also be the owner, I'm not sure, I do know there is allot of transients, which hang around outside, they must be regulars they all have chairs outside hanging out. It's a scary place once it gets dark out. Then they want to talk to you and being a female alone it's quite intimidating. I could hear them all nite drinking and smoking, sounded as though right outside my door. The rooms were in need of allot of work . Much needed repairs would really do this place good. And an exterminator. The female worker was not at all decient. I should of went with my first instinct and kept driving, I will not put my hard earned money into that establishment, again! I worried about my car all nite long. Several times having to ask outside men to not lean on my car. So yourself a favor. Don't stop here, Ramada inn lv. Is very much cleaner nice people lots of shopping and food options. Even a swimming pool, see you...

Very homely feel to the area, the owners have without a doubt worked hard on this place and the management is very helpful as well as they are friendly. The rooms are neatly placed together and clean, The suites have new beds, furniture, and clean bathrooms. The floors look amazing and match really well with the tables. It is a great place to be when you get off of work, the only real traffic around is from the highway, and its not surrounded by other businesses, the view is nice, fresh air, and not a lot of buildings clogging up the area, plus it is not very far if your looking for a gas station or other stores.

I have to say this is one of the best motel's I've stayed in, and I strongly suggest staying here to everybody! 5 Stars all the way! Thank you...
