We stayed for 3 nights, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, checking out Monday, in the Cedar Ridge tree tent, and enjoyed the stay. When we arrived we had our dogs and pulled out the dog waste bags, which were the last 2. We let John know and never got a response on this. Now let me say there were additional bags but, with no knowledge, it appeared empty. No instructions you had to open or punch out the opening for additional bags. There are plenty of instructions on picking up after yourself, but none on how things operate. We were preparing dinner Saturday night, which I had carried a special pan for the pasta, and the induction stove wouldn't work. I called the number and spoke with John and he didn't have a solution on why it wouldn't work. He could bring me another cook top in the morning. We Googled it to realize that an induction stove requires special cookware. The ones that are provided. I will say that I have never used this type of cook top. didn't get a response till the next morning, asking if we got the stove to work. I let him know we did and why it didn't work. I feel like he should have been prepared to ask if we were using other cookware. My husband and I were going to walk to the lake and maybe fish from the bank. Not a chance to even wet a line. The .6 mile path is all down hill and not for the weak. You can't get to the lake shore at all from the path. We had 4 adults in the group and on the second morning we requested more regular coffee pods (there were plenty of pods of decaf and hot chocolate) and John replied he could have them delivered this afternoon(hello, we want coffee this morning). We had one (1) fire starter for 3 night's, hello, you knew my reservation! Now, Sunday night, a good rain storm blows in and to our surprise the whole tent starts leaking and we ended up sleeping on the couch and one of the lounging pillows and still got leaked on. The windows could have been cleaned as well, so you could clearly enjoy the beauty of the outside. I did clean one of them and what a difference. I have never used a hot tub and there were no instructions for using one and that would have been nice. I also need to mention that the chlorine for the hot tub was left on the counter in a condiment cup next to the pepper shakers, and not marked to identify. At first glance it looked like salt, my husband thought it was as well. Sure glad I realized it after we enjoyed the hot tub! For the price of $1,450 my expectations were disappointing and I would not recommend a stay here. To mention we asked another guest as we were leaving about their tent and not surprised at the comments given. I won't speak of what was said, but will say the upkeep on this property is piss poor for the money they make. If I could speak to the actual owners, I'm sure their reaction would be of shock!! If not shame on them, but John needs to do a better job. So one more thing, the welcome note we had clearly reads, Please contact us if you need anything at all!!...
Read moreWhere do I start? First, DON'T HESITATE, BOOK THIS PLACE. We stayed in Highlands view and while both properties are beautiful, this one provided the amount of privacy we were looking for. Let me say that I am a 5-star host of 4 short term vacation rental properties in the Florida keys so I take great pride in providing exceptional accommodations. This trip was a much needed vacation from the stressors of life for my husband and I. I planned the entire trip and kept it a secret. Woke him up for a 3am trip to the airport and kept it a secret until we pulled into the driveway of the property. I selected this property to build upon the foundation that was provided to have an experience with my husband where we connected like we never have and we have been together for 29 years. This place was magical. The interior provided just the right amount of space for us to reconnect and rediscover intimacy with each other and I mean all aspects of intimacy. It provided a calm, serene, comfortable, clean place for us to disconnect from the world and focus only on the two of us. I flew into Nashville, rented a car, pre-ordered groceries and even had some chocolate strawberries delivered to the property. This trip and the experience I built upon during our stay changed my life. I was headed to a bad place in my relationship and life in general. Prior to this trip I spent 18 hours a day working, volunteering on two boards, being a mother to two teenage boys and two golden retrievers with a full time job and bitter because I had lost myself and about to lose much more. My life had gotten away from me and I need to get it back. I took the three days here to re-evaluate my life, relationships and what is really important in life. It is not just the location and the pure peacefulness of the space but the texture and décor that added to the overall experience. Thank you for taking what looks like a similar passion for creating a memorable experience and providing a space for others to use for their own personal benefit. Know that you have achieved your goal, it truly changed my life. You are providing much more than a place for people to stay in the beautiful mountains of TN, you are providing a new take on much needed therapy for couples and anyone else that needs to reset their life. Thank you and forever grateful. It is a trip me and my husband will use as the measure of our commitment to each other for many years to come. Best...
Read moreYour Glamping Adventure is a true gem. Nestled on a riverbank among the trees, the location feels truly secluded. From the moment you arrive, you're surrounded by nature, and the luxurious comforts of the dome make it that much more of a treat.
The unique interior design of the dome maximizes the space, making it feel spacious and cozy all at once. The bed was incredibly comfortable and I could have stayed there all day, except the outside was even more attractive. The fire pit and hot tub overlooking the river were the perfect spots to relax and take in the stunning scenery.
There were lots of great options for people who want to do something more active, too. You can go for a hike or toss a ball in the big open field nearby. I was told there is a beach on the river, but we stayed there in the winter and didn't end up going to explore it.
The owners of Your Glamping Adventure are wonderful people and you can see that the retreat is a labor of love for them. I cannot recommend this place enough and I can't wait to go back for another...
