★☆☆☆☆ Absolutely Horrible Wedding Experience at Meadow Lark Lodge – Big Horn Mountains, WY I cannot stress enough how unprofessional and disappointing our entire experience at Meadow Lark Lodge was. This venue single-handedly turned what should have been a joyful, once-in-a-lifetime event into a stressful, frustrating ordeal. Unprofessional & Rude from Start to Finish From the moment we arrived, the owner’s attitude was appalling. Eye rolls, huffing and puffing, and body language that screamed “you’re in my way” were present at every interaction. At one point, hands were literally clapped at us to “hurry up” while we were setting up for the reception. I have never in my life seen a hospitality business treat paying guests with such blatant disrespect. Horrible Communication & Zero Organization Nothing was explained properly before or during the event. We repeatedly had to chase down answers to basic questions. There was no clear plan, no guidance, and no willingness to help. Instead, we got short, snippy responses and visible annoyance anytime we asked for assistance. False Advertising & Misrepresentation We paid for a “ceremony location” only to later find out it was open to the public and, in fact, not even their property. This was not disclosed beforehand and was a huge breach of trust. Absolutely unacceptable for a venue charging wedding rates. Accommodations Were a Joke The rooms were subpar at best — outdated, uncomfortable, and lacking basic necessities. There was no trash service for high-paying guests, and when we asked for more toilet paper, we were literally handed a roll with an eye roll. No bridal suite. No groom suite. No space to get ready. Food Issues – Cold, Small Portions, and Greedy Policies We paid a premium for catering, only to be served cold food in tiny portions. To make matters worse, when we tried to take the leftovers that we paid for, we were told we couldn’t because they were “their property.” The lack of generosity and hospitality was staggering. Basic Needs Ignored There was no water station for guests staying the cabins or camping — This, combined with the already cold and unfriendly atmosphere, made everyone uncomfortable. Overall Attitude – Disgusting The owner acted as though running a wedding venue was a burden and that we were an inconvenience from start to finish. Her behavior made it abundantly clear she is motivated by greed, not service or care for her clients. Final Verdict: Avoid at All Costs I would not spend another dollar at Meadow Lark Lodge if I were dying of thirst on their doorstep. The lack of professionalism, basic hospitality, and respect for paying clients is appalling. Weddings are supposed to be joyful occasions — here, you’ll find only stress, rudeness, and regret. HIGHLY DO...

We were genuinely excited to stay at this lake lodge, hoping for a memorable weekend with the kind of hospitality and amenities that typically come with such a setting. Unfortunately, the reality fell short in several key areas. From the moment we arrived, the staff interactions were noticeably strained. Rather than feeling welcomed, we often felt like an inconvenience. Requests were met with curt responses, and there was a general lack of warmth or professionalism throughout our stay. The pricing structure also raised concerns. There seemed to be extra charges for nearly everything, including basic services that are usually standard at similar lodges. It gave the impression that profit was prioritized over guest experience, which was disappointing. As for amenities, they did not even have the basics you’d expect from a lodge environment. Due to the prices and greed, we expected much more. The most troubling aspect was the overall tone of disrespect. Whether intentional or not, the way guests were spoken to and treated left a lasting...

This place is a secret little gem tucked away in the Bighorn Mountains! A favorite of the locals. Awesome family run business. Only two lifts and about a dozen runs but there are options for all skiers begining with easy but fun greens to challenging black diamonds. Rental shop has an excellent line of skis and boards to choose from. Lessons are also available. The fireplace in the lodge always has a gorgeous fire going in a cozy and relaxing atmosphere to take a break or grab lunch. The owners have the usual hamburgers and fries along with numerous special homemade dishes every day. The prices on everything are significantly less than major ski resorts so you can afford to take the whole family and not break the bank. And did I mention the sweet little bar where adults can enjoy their...

Went on Friday with my family for a half day. Went to pay for half day tickets at 12:24 p.m. and I didn't notice the cashier charged me for full day tickets until a few minutes after I paid her. I immediately asked for the correct charge and she tells me I bought the tickets before the 12:30 p.m. cutoff and refuses to refund me the difference. Any honest establishment would tell their customers "hang on a few minutes so we can charge you the correct amount". Owner is not available to talk to me but cashier tells me that he won't do anything either. Felt very ripped off!! Won't be going back there again. Used to be my favorite place to ski, not anymore. Will be heading someplace else from now on.
