Oh wow! This place was just what our large family needed. Nestled in a country setting, complete with rocking chairs on the porch, there are so many little things that made this place such a great choice! The house has all the basic needs you rely on when at your own home, with such nice decor and charm you feel immediately at home. The beds were something all of us agreed were worth getting THIS place. The dual living room/sitting room fit our group well and the cottage was equally accommodating, although a smaller group of seats. The sheets are soft and luxurious, and the bed itself comfortable after a busy day! The fire pit with the gi-normous chandelier in the trees outside to the hydroponic farm next door…( that you can take tours around!) There is a playground equipment for lil kids. (we didn’t have our lil ones with us)
As we live in a different state we also enjoyed the country setting of the insects as well as birds and other wild life and the different noises both at night snd day. Very beautiful! Not to sound like it’s, got “bugs” just typical spiders, lizards, etc like outside in a country environment. (Note: We we’re NEVER bothered by bugs in or out of the house!) The view of the yard is breathtaking! If we were to have had a wedding here, all the fixtures are already in place, as is the lighting, pathways, curtain/drapes, scenery, whatever you need for an outdoor style wedding or large party venue! Just beautiful!!!
Very clean place both inside and outside, there was the strong desire by all of us to come back and do this again when we get back into the area!

Before I hosted my own event at River Valley Place, I had attended several events there. What inspired me to book, was how each gathering I had attended had its own unique flair. It was amazing! Again and again, I experienced how the property was transformed according to the dreams of the hosts.
So I was really eager to host my own event…but I was a bit nervous. Could I do this? Answer, YES!
As a novice, I was so grateful for Warren and Mary’s initial advice on where to even begin. I wanted a simple family/friend reunion.
Next, I invited a few friends to help me and they eagerly flew into action. In no time, everything fell into place. It is like the barn knows what to do! When my helpers quickly rallied around me, I wondered if they just wanted an excuse to spend the day in the country! We had so much fun; the prep day was a special memory for me.
My event far surpassed what I had envisioned. We did it! Like all the other events, we created a memorable night for my guests.
In short, River Valley Place was just perfect! The venue itself was like magic sprinkled over everything. Seriously, the air was fresh, the barn doors open, and music filled the countryside. As the sun set, I felt both joy and relief. I DID it! It was so rewarding watching my guests breathe in the atmosphere we created for them.

River Valley Place was the PERFECT venue for our daughter's winter wedding. They went above and beyond to accommodate our needs in any and every way needed! The pavilion is such a great space and the view behind the couple during the ceremony is breathtaking (makes for great pictures!). The long walkway that the bridal party walks down creates a great view for all to see. We rented a tent to provide more room at the reception and it was the perfect addition to the lovely barn at the venue. The owners, Warren & Mary, made the whole process of planning at the venue seamless. They were so helpful and accommodating. River Valley Place is a great venue for any type of event...from a large family gathering to a full wedding...
