Ozark Inn — Hotel in Mena

On the NEGATIVE SIDE:||We checked in after 3pm on Monday. While in the room- ALL EVENING & NIGHT - we had FLIES (7-8) in our room.....we did kill all of them! Talk about an awful decision we made when staying at this MOTEL!! Their website pictures are very deceiving. The furniture in the room was very worn & rickety; the carpet had not been vacuumed||thoroughly; there was no Kleenex or laundry bag in room; bedding (cover) sheet was very thin & did not cover bed properly and light-weight blanket had holes in it. The inner spring mattress had a lot to be desired. My back was aching all the next day. OH, AND - TRAINS/WHISTLES ALL NIGHT LONG!!||On the Positive side: they had a good working A/C, Microwave & Refrigerator.||THIS EXPERIENCE HAS MADE ME BELIEVE IN THE OLD SAYING: YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!! ||I have Never had to write such a negative review before. I hope the other paying customers did not have the same experiences we did!||Management needs to do...

First off no handicap rooms available period!! My brother was traveling to visit me and I tried to book him a room here. He is a disabled veteran with a service dog. Charged my credit card then informed me after he needed $50 cash deposit for the dog !! Would return after inspection of the room next morning. I told him I had never heard of this!! He informed me this was their policy and if I didn’t want to comply I could just go somewhere else! This was absurd!!! Clearly breaking the law of disabled dog act.....! Well I got him his 50 bucks and wanted a receipt! He got irate with me and just told me to go somewhere else and didn’t want the money and canceled my room!!! Got nasty about it also! If your disabled and might have a service dog go somewhere else!! These people are rude and make their own laws!! We went up the road and got another room with absolutely no problem! I will never recommend this dump...

The rooms are very clean but very basic. The bed is somewhat hard but ok. The amenities are bare minimum. My husband was a little cold in the room and no extra blanket. Thin sheets and comforter so went to Wal Mart the next day and bought a blanket for him. No Kleenex in room and only a half roll of toilet paper. The shampoo and conditioner were in little packets with barely enough to wash a toddlers hair. ||The shower was good with lots of hot water. Coffee that was in our room was bitter and there was none in lobby so while at Wal Mart bought a travel Keurig and pods. ||Check in was at 10:00 at night and person that checked us in was not very friendly. ||Would we stay here again? Maybe if all we were looking for is a very basic, no...
