This Super 8 is super clean and great value; highly recommend it. This "2 star" hotel was WAY cleaner and nicer in some ways than some "3 star" hotels stayed at. Providing pics. There is NO microwave or fridge. But FANTASTIC value for CLEANLINESS and other. Has a HUGE amount of cable TV channels, about 120 channels compared to the 3 star hotel I just stayed at in big metro City!! (way more expensive), which had VERY Few TV channels, maybe 20 or 30 basic cable. Of course, it is basic, no pool or fancy restaurant, gym, etc,. But if you want a clean and very decent place to stay in this area and don't want to break the bank THIS IS IT! Huge truck stop area so has at least two 24 hour gas stations with large convenience stores - right next store! Subway, McDonald's, Taco Bell, Cindy's Restaurant, and KFC are within walking distance. Ha, first place I've ever stayed that has huge corn picture on wall, this is corn country! šŸ˜‚

Overall unimpressed with this hotel. The entire place smells like old cigarettes and mildew. The first room we checked into had a broken toilet, so they did move us to another room. Our room only had one old, scratchy towel that was stained. We had to ask for more towels and wash cloths each night, and were only given a half a roll of toilet paper when we checked in. There were fire alarms flashing in the halls the entire stay. The blankets on the bed were old, thin, scratchy and full of cigarette holes shown in the picture. No fridge or coffee pot in the rooms. Bathroom was grimy with what looked like blood splattered on the walls. I didn’t have high expectations as this is a super 8 and I just needed somewhere close by to family, but I certainly would not stay here again.

I Booked this hotel as it had good reviews however it was clear as soon as I arrived it was nothing close to advertised. It smelled like marijuana and cigarettes in the lobby and rooms. The walls inside the rooms and bathrooms were incredibly stained. As I pulled back the blanket I saw a wet sticky note and bits of dried leaves on the bed sheet. There was also a gross purple stain probably from blood on the sheet (see pictures). I was fearful for bedbugs the entire stay and during the night, brushed away a bug without a chance to see what it was. I would not recommend this hotel and would highly advise spending the extra money to stay at the hotel across the street, or anywhere else.

My room was obviously not cleaned. Changed the bed sheets maybe but used a thin blanket with cigarette burns. The only reason I stayed there was because my family was exposed to COVID and I didn’t want to be near them. The room was dirty. The carpet was gross. There were dead bugs. I was on the phone with my family members all night checking on them and making sure they could get tests the next day. I was up until at least 4am. In the morning I told them my room is disgusting and the lady said ā€œbecause you stayed here last night it’s dirtyā€ I do not have a dog, I did not cover the room in dog hair. It’s the middle of winter I did not catch bugs and leave them in there. I do not smoke I did not make the bed with a cigarette burned blanket. She gave me a key to another room to see if it was clean. It was not. Again obviously not vacuumed. Hair on the bathroom floor. Mold growing all over the ceiling. This place is disgusting. And their not sorry about it. They didn’t want to give me my money back and I’m still fighting for it back. I’m willing to pay the $60-70 rate for that midnight-10 am experience, but I’m being charged $111 for that one nasty experience. So it ended up being more expensive than when I moved over to the quality inn and suites which was a completely different experience. It was clean, professional, and comfortable. There’s no bugs or dog hair at...

I now know why I had to pay first and the sign said "No Refunds."||An absolutely horrible experience.||Filthy hallways, stairs and room...Obviously staff could care less about conditions and guests. ||No bath towels in the room. Not discovered until after shower and had to dry off with a hand towel.||The tub would not drain so I ended up standing in dirty water while I showered.||No coffee available in either the room nor lobby. Coffee was never made in the lobby and after looking at the pot and coffee station even if it had been available it was so filthy I would have been afraid to drink it. I guess they expected everyone to go to the McDonald's next door if you wanted coffee.||No one answered the bell in the morning for checkout. Only a dirty sign that said to leave the key. It was obvious that they could care less once they had your money.||I have stayed in hundreds of hotels/motels over the years and the Mendota Super 8 is absolutely the worst I have ever encountered. It is a complete disgrace.||Wyndham needs to pull their affiliation immediately. The experience has soured me on considering Wyndham for any...

First of all, the guy at the front desk was almost impossible to understand and was not very friendly. I was told the pet fee would be $10. He very emphatically stated I t was $20 which is ludicrous and pointed to the sign that stated there would be a $500 fine if you smoked in a non-smoking room. Did not write the room number on the passkey but told me to do it. The whole place gave the appearance of one that was in bad need of a thorough cleaning. Hall carpets were dirty and stained. Two vending machines. One was empty, the other out of order. The ceiling of the canopy at the entrance was uncovered with wires hanging down. The bed frames were metal queen size with double sized mattresses, which were so-so, leaving a metal bar sticking out 4 inches on either side. ā€œLight breakfastā€ advertised was prepackaged honey buns, chocolate covered donuts and a small pump container of coffee. Wi-Fi password posted did not work. Only pros were the ice machine and the shower which turned scalding hot when someone turned the lavatory faucet on. All this for nearly $100 with pet fee for one night....
