Budget Suites Motel — Hotel in Mesa

While the place is nice, the wife of the lovable Ray (he's the owner) seems to have issues. We went over to fix a friend's television because nobody was answering the phone for her and she turned us back when the wife said, and I quote, "we don't allow past customers to visit current customers." Even after I told her that the lady's TV needs to be fixed, she refused to go over and help her even after I provided the room number instead saying that the tenant would have to come over and ask herself . it seems like quite an arbitrary rule to me, because I am a 300 pound fat computer geek, and I don't look the least bit intimidating whatsoever. To be fair, there is a lot to love here too. Rooms are a bit crusty but the price is fantastic and it has everything I need. Delightful little motel. Though it's a very simple room and wasn't as clean as my standards, the owner and employees make this motel above and beyond a 5 star rating. It's a shame that other motels/hotels have forgotten that their guests keep them in business. I moved here from spending 2 nights at Motel 6 North-Mesa & 2 nights at Motel 6 South-Mesa to Budget Suites because both Motel 6's were ridiculously over priced and had no frige, microwave nor coffee that 1 could have at any time. Motel 6 South didn't even have a microwave on property at all. At least Motel 6 North had a filthy community shared microwave. Here at Budget Suites I've got a full size kitchen area w/full size frige, microwave,toaster and a toaster oven for my use. And as I mentioned before, the staff here is amazing , definitely haven't forgotten simple human kindness and are all too happy and willing to share it with you in abundance. I went to this hotel thinking it will be affordable to help a family member out and surprisingly renting a room was to high for an outdated hotel I decided to go ahead and pay anyways because I was running late for work the guy working show me the room and luckily it was a decent room the only thing I didn't like is when I pulled up to pick up my family member he came outside immediately and started walking towards the room we checked in just watching us waiting for us to check out like if we were late from check out or him acting like we're going to run off with the key or something that is why I rated two ⭐ ⭐ rather than a 3 do to him...
