This place is GRODY ! The carpets are so sticky, you cannot go barefoot. We "waited" for our rooms to be cleaned. We arrived at 5 PM !!||It was me and my husband in one room and my 92 year old mother in another. Our room was moderately cleaned. ||My poor mom said the sheets on one of the beds had dirt and hairs in it. The bathroom sink had whiskers in it from a man shaving!||It took us over 2 hours to check in due to problems with the 3rd party reservation company they use. So the night desk clerk did not charge us anything extra for our 2 small dogs.||When I checked out in the AM, the morning clerk said, OH, you didn't get charged for the dogs. I told her the reason and she said, "Oh we don't do comps" and charged my card. IN ADDITION to having a huge DEPOSIT/HOLD on my card for "damages"||There was no breakfast at all. The excuse was COVID - yeah THAT COVID from almost 4 years ago.||The owner was there "making sure" all the rooms were being cleaned. The new maid had quit THAT DAY.||Finally, this is a total working man's motel, with long term guests. And that's fine, but they live there while working on road construction, etc. So the ENTIRE PLACE smelled of cigarette smoke.||As to the pool, didn't even look at it. I can only imagine.||I travel extensively. I understand "budget" motels. but this was not really budget priced. It was about the same as any other budget type when it comes to price. ||This was just too icky and dirty to even be a one night stay on a budget. Sticky floors, advertised breakfast, but nothing, dirty overall.||I've sleep in airports on the floor before, so, I can handle just about anything. But at least in the airport, the...
Read moreIf this is your only option for a hotel, please stay in another town. From the moment we pulled in, we got an uneasy feeling. The front desk person was outside smoking when we arrived and we almost thought maybe she was just waiting on a ride until she followed us in to check us in. She was actually very friendly. Our room that was reserved was not ready at 530pm and she had to go check the other room to see if it was ready or not. Our key card wouldn't work so she had to work on that to get it to work. Not her fault, old equipment. The carpets in the hallways are horrible and wrinkled up from being so old. Some of the room doors have holes in them. Our room was not what I would call clean. The floor was disgusting and had white powder all around the edges. Im praying it was carpet powder but it could of been anything. The bedding was not clean. We complained and got all brand new out of the box bedding. We had to wait for it to be unpacked but that was okay with me since it was new. We asked abou canceling due to a family emergency which was legit, we had a death that occurred and the owner refused. He was very unfriendly and showed zero sympathy. The front desk ladies were excellent. They did the best they could with the circumstances. The door didnt work half the time to our room and my husband had to force it open each time. Lots of men in the evenings at this hotel. Must be construction workers. Also, seemed to be lots of live ins. Not a place I would bring younger children or ever...
Read moreThe staff was super sweet, so I wish my review could be better, but the owner really needs to put some effort into this place. The walls are super thin. I could hear everything in the rooms beside me and in the hallway. In fact, when using my credit card to order dinner over the phone, I was a bit concerned about the level of my voice. The furniture is old cheap paperboard from the early 80s, the beds are super hard, the sheets are low quality (with hair of previous users easily being trapped between the threads), the comforters are the absolute cheapest comforters you can buy (seriously.. the thin reversible cotton bedspreads from Walmart) and the towels have been worn so thin that they no longer absorb any liquids. The room I was in and all the rooms around me were non-smoking, but the entire place reeks of cigarette smoke. The carpets are loose and thin. The breakfast is extremely limited. On top of all that, I got the impression that the owner is not easy to work for. So I especially commend the sweet girls doing everything to make the guests feel welcome and cared for, but the owner really needs to put some effort into actually improving this place rather than paying for fake positive reviews. There's no other explanation for the number of reviews that put this place in such positive light. It's not possible that those people mentioning the clean smelling hallways, etc. have ever actually been there. I don't intend to stay here again and would not...
