This 3 month old property was our choice for the Cincinnati Open tennis tournament in Mason. Half hour drive.||Room was spacious and nice.||Turned TV on…had sound no picture. Had to have staff come and fix it.|Took a shower…no soap, shampoo or conditioner in shower wall attachments.|Room doesn’t have a full length mirror.|Room doesn’t have an exhaust fan in bathroom. Just air vent in ceiling that was dirty, dusty…who knows what was blowing into the room.|Nice breakfast except for listening to breakfast attendant complaining about people leaving dishes on table for her to clean up and leaving no tip. Everyone should leave their dishes for clean-up. Attendant never washes and sanitizes tables. I washed my own table because there were still food stains.||There are 4 or 5 electric chargers, the majority for Tesla but we did find out that had an adapter to fit our electric hybrid. After a night the car never charged. When we asked a front desk person, he said he didn’t know why, he doesn’t have an electric car.||On two consecutive nights had incredible noise from room above us. Running, dropping, jumping at 1:30 AM in the morning. Asked desk to call them to quiet down. Same thing the next night and made 2 calls to front desk. This hotel obviously cut big corners on sound proofing. This reason enough to stay at Hilton across street. Cheap construction. This is a serious issue.||Reviewing our bill, found $11 in incorrect charges from the hotel marketplace. Had to wait for bill to be adjusted.||One day we had the DND on our door from 1:30 - 3:15 PM. When I called downstairs they told me there wasn’t anyone to clean our room after every other day cleaning. When I was reassured that my room was to be cleaned the next day I saw the room attendant the next day in the hallway outside our room and asked her to clean our room next she said she didn’t have us on the list. After asking she did clean the room.||The hotel is short on staff and not very knowledgeable although most of the front desk people were nice.||Free parking.||I wouldn’t stay at this hotel for the next few months until they get their...
Read moreThis was a wonderful place. When NATO came to town and booted us from our reservation we booked four months earlier, Residence Inn scooped up several of us who suddenly found ourselves without a hotel five days before the wedding. Now I wish we had booked Residence Inn from the very beginning. Our room was FANTASTIC. They do need to get some pics on their website because they'll see a big increase in traffic once people see just how nice it is.
This is a new hotel. It was open maybe a month before our stay. Our room was a two-room suite with a full kitchen , two televisions, spacious room with the bedroom actually in a separate room. The TV selection is awesome. Many choices including your streaming services that you'll need to use your account. The remote is a little weird though. It is illuminated for nighttime use but the light shuts off very early that you might hit the wrong button navigating it.
The bathroom was nice but if I had to nitpick our stay, this is where I'll do it. The shower curtain didn't close very well and allowed for some water to hit the floor. That might be why there is a floor drain in the bathroom. One thing that absolutely needs to be added is a towel ring or hook for the shower. There's nowhere at all to put your towel while in the shower. I hung mine on the door to the bathroom. Another design problem, probably due to being a brand new hotel, the bathroom mirror extends out from the wall far enough that it covers up half of the only bathroom outlet and only one plug is available.
Powered blinds are pretty slick but the controls really should have been next to the bed and not across the room.
Breakfast was really, really good. Standard fare mostly but they do go just a bit further on it to make it great.
My chances of staying in the Dayton area again are pretty slim but if I did I would definitely...
Read moreThis hotel has a lot of potential, but unfortunately, “inconsistent” is the best word to describe my experience. I stay in extended stay hotels often and was really looking forward to having this one in the area since I travel here regularly. The rooms are spacious and clean—which makes sense since it’s a newer property—but there are a few ongoing issues that just haven’t been addressed, even after multiple visits and bringing them to management’s attention.
The biggest problem? The hot water situation. It takes anywhere from 4 to 10 minutes just to get a lukewarm shower, especially during peek hours. That’s just not okay, especially when you’re on a schedule.
Then there’s the bathroom setup. There’s only one hook to hang a towel, which is pretty inconvenient for a room that’s supposed to sleep four. And the shower curtain is hung oddly high—lsix inches from the ceiling—so it doesn’t help giving you a place to hang anything.
Lastly, the TV and internet are a real letdown. The TV can take up to 20 minutes just to buffer and show a channel, and streaming anything on your own device is nearly impossible without constant buffering or pixelation.
I really wanted to like this place, and it could be great with a few fixes. But until then, it’s hard to recommend—especially for...
