Recently left a positive review about the site, which we found to be nice. Nothing, however, could have prepared us for the nightmare of their staff. Their park rangers are abusive, literally yelling at my friend, who is a woman, simply because she called to tell them of the excessive noise(some people were blasting music so loud with amplified speakers, it was like a concert and we could not hear ourselves in our own rig. My friend was met with hostility and interrogated. We spoke to the so-called property manager Michael Ball. He was unprofessional and abusive. When we saw that we were wasting our time as he defended the repeated questioning of my friend by the ranger, instead of the rangers doing their jobs, we left. We told him that his behavior and aggression were disgusting and that we’d be making a formal complaint to corporate. We ended the meeting and left his office. He literally chased us and swung the front door open to say - “you know what?! You must vacate in 24 hours! We asked why he would say that? We had not violated ANY of the Policies there. We are quiet, full-time rv’ers and never bother a soul. I am a severely disabled person and my partner is a woman. We were here to inform him of abuse and he retaliates with more abuse? He actually threatened to call the police, to which we said, go ahead, we’ve done nothing wrong. This lunatic was on a total power trip and furious that we had recordings of the calls with his park rangers, as well as cameras on our Rv which prove that the rangers NEVER CAME AROUND. NEVER DROVE BY. NEVER DID THEIR JOBS. But had the nerve to yell at my friend and try to bully her. And he actually called the State Police. What a lunatic! Then the state trooper tells us we have to leave that day. I said I of course, could not, due to disability. We have our reservation through September 1. We’re full timers. We have all of our plans and appointments based around this check-out date. It would disrupt our entire lives and actually be detrimental to my health to be forced to suddenly leave with nowhere to go with our rig and nowhere to leave it. We can’t afford to simply pay at another park after we’ve paid our dues here and planned our budget. This is the equivalent of evicting someone for no reason and making them homeless. Then this absolute liar, tells the state trooper that we can stay an extra day if we get ridoftherecordings. I’ve never heard anything so insane. Why wouldn’t he want a record of something? Because he and his ranger were absolutely abusive and he can’t stand that he got caught lying and being abusive. We’ve spent thousands, have a contract, did not violate it in any way, and are being forced to leave. They are making a disabled person homeless. Our rig was damaged in the recent storm. We are dealing with trying to get that repaired. I am in and out of the hospital. And my friend is here as my caregiver. And this dishonest and frustrated, lazy buffoon, Michael Ball, decides that the best course of action to deal with a customer complaint about staff, is to cancel a customer’s membership. The State Trooper said that he said he canceled our memberships and we’re no longer members. INSANE. He is not permitted to do that. The state trooper made clear that we’d done nothing wrong and that is was ok to disagree with someone. OBVIOUSLY. But this abusive guy Michael, who has his pants half unzipped when he sat in his office chair, was so angry that we said we were calling corporate and told him his behavior was disgusting, that he cancels our memberships?? Unreal. They all know at the office that I am disabled. But he lied and said he was unaware. He is fully aware that I am a disabled person. Yet he thinks it is some small thing to make us homeless? Thousand Trails wants a PR nightmare, they’ve got one. We’ve documented everything. This is horrific. We strongly advise against having anything to do with Thousand Trails. Do not come to Timothy Lake South or North. Michael Ball and ranger Bob are absolute...
Read moreMy husband and I went on a 7 week vacation in our 5th wheel. We had 22 stops along the way and this was the last one. It was not to our liking at all. When we registered we were told that we had to go find our own site. I've never run in to this before. The last thing we wanted to do, after driving all day was pull our 5th wheel through the narrow roads of this campground looking for a spot that would accommodate us. We finally decided, out of frustration, to pull into a spot, but before doing this we had to get out of the truck and move the picnic table which weighed more than two 70 year olds should be moving. Someone should go around and check the sites after people check out so that this doesn't happen. We couldn't call the office for help because we had no cell service and we didn't want to walk there. The place is old, tired and the landscape was completely overgrown. If we wanted to sit outside we had to sit in the brush. With the way the fire pit was placed we couldn't have a fire because it would have been within 12 feet of the camper. That was a big disappointment. So many people had dogs and that's all you could hear were dogs barking. I don't know how you can stop that. I know it's up to the dog owner to keep the animal as quiet as possible but the camper beside us just sat with his dog and let the dog bark. It was horrible, but again no cell service meant we'd have to get in the truck and drive up to the office. People in the office were nice but overall I'd say the campground should be more interested in how campers are getting alone. Obviously the people that live there full time are happy with the place and have gotten used to the overgrown landscape. I will never go back there because it looks like no one cares about the place, so if they don't care what the place looks like, they don't care about the campers...
Read morePotholes throughout the park, one bathhouse closed with no explanation (a screw lodged in between edge of mens and womens door to prevent entry. Second bathhouse in serious need of repair: flooring in dire need of being repainted, caulking around base of commode looked real nasty, soap dispenser empty for more than 2 weeks, a front door that wouldn't close, letting in mosquitoes, no paper towels dispenser (only a wall mounted hand dryer), a single bathroom stall, with missing wall tile, no ventilation, so you start sweating after you dry off after your shower. One of the 2 shower stalls had a door that barely opened to get inside. The second shower stall was jokingly labeled as handicapped, had a rusted out shower caddy, a filthy soap receptacle, and removable shower head too high to reach fr anyone in a wheelchair, no grab bars ( 2 are recommended), and no seat or bench, inside. One camper told me that the owners are only interested in profit, and let everything run down. To make matters worse, I was assigned to n RV pad, so difficult to back in, that it took me almost 30 minute, only to find out there was no city water hookup. I was then reassigned to another site with a faulty water spigot that I had to contact AJ, the maintenance man, to help me turn it on. He was apparently a new hire with little experience, although he did figure it out. Overall, a very bad experience, after being very tired after a long drive to get to the Park, getting later and later towards sunset, unavoidable, because Scotrun was booked up, which is always in much...
