I have stayed here year after year after year and have never had any issues whatsoever. Always tent camped and stayed in the same tent sites each time. I havent been here in 4 years due to my own personal reasons. Finally was able to make a trip back and this was by far my worst stay. Bathrooms had inconsistent cleaning times. It was never the same each day and when you have a 5 year old who cant hold it long and is afraid to pee outside, its an inconvenience to not know when to go to the bathroom to avoid it being closed. Also to add, there is one bathroom (i think roughly 5 toilets and 5 showers for men and women) for the ENTIRE park.. also a big inconvenience. There was a 2nd bathroom location in which they have shut down and nailed a piece of lattice wood across the walk way. The bathroom was cleaned with dirty mop water. It was brown and clearly not changed from the last cleaning. The floors looked like it just had the mud smeared around. One hand towel dispenser was always broken. Hair on the sinks all the time and rarely cleaned off. The showers used to have curtains in them to prevent anyone seeing through the cracks, they are no longer there. Trash laid outside the bathroom for days and was not picked up. I rented a site with electricity. My site has a electric box which grants me two outlets. I was NOT informed at check in that I had to share with my neighbors until my neighbors informed me the park had to plug in an extension cord for them to being to have power. Both my neighbors and I were upset about this as we are now both being limited to our electricity. I walk up to the office and ask for some kind of compensation or to be moved and I get told told "we are completely full and cant move you. We will have the manager contact you in regards to compensation". They send the maintenance manager down who proceeds to tell us hes taken a look at it and so has his electrician and they havent been able to fix it. I ask if we will be compensated for the inconvenience and he says no. The park manager calls, I talk to her about it. She says no compensation will be provided as I still have electricity. She tells me she can "compensate" me to a primitive site with no electricity or water or she can refund me to leave. She told me its up to me to figure out how to make it work with one outlet. First of all, who treats there customers like that? A couple days pass, the neighbors on the otherside of my neighbors show up.. they dont have electricity either. So now an extension cord is plugged into our outlet, another 3 wronged cord is plugged into the extension cord and extended to the 3rd side. So now 3 sites are using one lots electricity on one outlet. A day passes, neighbors on the OTHER side have proceeded to say they now dont have power. There was extension cords from site to site all over because alot of the sites were out of power. On top of all of this, they have staff people out walking around creepily at night what looked to be watching sites. I was in my vehicle trying to calm my daughter down away from the loud noises and partying around us, it was after 10pm and I glanced up to seeing a staff guy standing in front of my truck watching the site cross from us. I immediately felt uncomfortable and my husband came walking over to the truck with my daughter and I. 8am they have machinery out and about moving fire rings around and doing god only knows what.. like so much for trying to sleep in while on vacation. And then to top it off, I booked two sites side by side and we were split up 6 sites apart with no other sites to stick us side by side. Over all, the customer service was poor, the cleanliness was awful, it was a bad stay. I dont know if ill be back and if I do it wont be for a long time before I am ready to try again. Save your money and go somewhere else. Save yourself the hassle. Photos are of the dirty floor, small bathrooms and no curtains, trash on the ground and my neighbors electricity pole which they completely removed the plug in box from and the broken towel dispenser.

It's a real shame what happened to this place! The management in place has no business working with people and maintaining customer service He's Just Not That Guy. The fact that he allows a power tripping security guard to run rampant harassing the people that pay money to stay there is beyond comprehension. The place is runned down there's no improvements being made, & boy is it needed!! if you talk about the cable not working, terrence threatens to kick you out. If you complain about the nasty smell of the water he threatens to kick you out, if you complain about the security guard harassing you & your guests, guess what? Yep, he threatens to kick you out & here's the kicker of that... you don't get a refund of balance. That's why the security guard only harasses seasonals. There are no activities, the pool is just nasty, read the reviews . There is nothing stopping public people from driving into the parking lot & walking right into the pool even though the manager's wife who BTW got a $2 raise to sit there at the pool with a walkie-talkie doesn't do anything about it. children driving golf carts racing up & down the roads but the security guard Mike ignores, he only lives to tell seasonal customers that he can hear their media when he drives by your site at 11:04 p.m. and then we'll proceed to yell and scream at you to turn it off & you get an email from Terrance threatening to kick you out. Don't bother going to upper management because his boss Terry is his buddy which allows him to get away with this and he'll tell you straight to your face and I have the recording to prove it that" you're wasting your time even trying to talk to me because whatever Terrence says goes". So you're not a paying customer you're a suppressed captive being patrolled by a man who definitely suffers from SPS, just my opinion, because he just lives to yell at seniors that it's after quiet time while you'll hear partying at the renter section going on at 2:00 a.m.. the Rec Room is just that it's a wreck with broken non-operating machines, rusty metal skatepark, and a broken down playground. Again it's a shame because it wasn't this way until this management took over. There are plenty plenty of other camping resorts near that are in a better location, better ran, less money, and actually live up to expectations. Don't take my word for it read the reviews. Fortunately I was able to pull my travel trailer out but a lot of people have enclosures and decks and would have to sell it and unfortunately those people that couldn't stand it anymore and moved out, up to 3 years still trying to sell their trailer because nobody wants to spend the money to move into a place like this. I know of eight seasonals this year alone that's not counting the multiple empty sites that I did not know the people that are now gone! And the rental cabins, disgusting, the bathhouses disgusting, don't waste your money or disappoint your children by going to Adventure bound in Cape May Courthouse. Pics: Fun zone open daily, lol, closed and overgrown Security guard and wife followed me to a vacant lot where I parked to take my dogs out for a walk and he wanted to point and yell at me that I'm not allowed to park there If you want to know where the kids hang out, go to the office because that's the only place, only place you will get service and Wi-Fi it's pretty much non-existent in the campground that's why you will always see kids hanging out the benches there because that's the only place they get Wi-Fi If you ever need security during the day, just go away off the campsites to the backfield at the end of the dirt road and you'll find Mike & his wife smoking weed instead of doing their job. But again his job is only the cruise to seasonals after 11:00 p.m. to yell at everybody if he can hear TV or music or your conversation. Yes, your conversation cannot be heard past your lot line which depending on the size of your RV or trailer it could be 5 to 10 ft so you better whisper. SMH, shame

Thirth time here. Getting better but still Needs some upgades, main office and entrance looks dated, need some improvement, arcade room last time we here not very clean and smelly Problably from the restrooms also dated, main bathroom for campers without bathroom needs an update also. We staying in a deluxe cabin. Housekeeping needs improvements always dust, hairs left behind, we always do a cleanup anyway but when you pay 150.00 or more depending on the time year you go at the deluxe cabin you expect better. Last cabin we stayed had a gas stove and counter space with top cabinets for storage, this one shelfs on top, this one a small electrical cooktop and almost no Counter space, so they not the same units inside but they all alike from the outside. We cook a lot so was no Counter space and a lot if empty wasted space that can have a better layout. Table to small compared to the last time. Counter tops Formica in a place like this don't work. Nothing to hold towels so we hang them at the doors to dry not even a closed rod to hang jackets or shirts. Place outside looks better than last time they cleaning up for the summer. Outside swimming pool closed, can't rated now. April. Overal not bad. Very quiet now and we are relaxing. A lot of Windows that's good and 2 ceiling fans also good, bathroom shower ,sink and toilet ok also, nice 30" refrigerator, outside picknick table. I still give 4 stars. Recommended.

I wish I could give this place zero stars. I am not often one to complain and I grew up going camping my whole life, so I know what nature entails. Our first issue with this campground began immediately as we pulled up to our cabin, as someone else from the next site over was occupying our parking spot. The site next to us had 3 different cars when the paper with the campground rules clearly states "One car per site NO EXCEPTIONS" , but no one was enforcing it. That was just a small annoyance that would have been overlooked if there were not so many other transgressions. As soon as we walked into our cabin we were immediately met with spiderwebs, as well as dead bugs along the bottom portion of the entire bed. When the mattress was lifted a large spider fell right out and onto the floor. The floor was extremely dirty with dead bugs all over as well. I understand that we rented a cabin in the woods, however someone could have cleaned prior to us getting there and it was very clear that it wasn't. The mini fridge was dirty inside and out, once again more evidence that it had not been cleaned in a while. The front blind had a broken portion which made it very hard to obtain privacy, and once again that is something that should be addressed PRIOR to arrival. There was also a diamond cut out on the front door with NO CURTAIN even though there is literally a wood rod mounted to it! So, once again, no privacy! The communal bathrooms, both men and women were in terrible shape. Multiple stalls in the women's restroom wouldn't even close properly or lock. They were very dirty and a stall in the mens bathroom had poop smeared all on the door. If you offer rentals with no bathrooms, they should be usable and kept relatively clean. We understand that it may be difficult to clean up all messes throughout the day, but almost every stall had something dirty. All of these things made our stay extremely uncomfortable, however as we were trying to enjoy our time in Cape May we chose to ignore some of the issues and push through. My next complaint goes towards the staff and operation of this campground. We did not say any of our complaints before checking out because we could not check out until the store opened and had to be somewhere shortly after. Also, this was our first time staying somewhere on our own without any sort of parents so we were unsure of how to handle the situation. We called the next weekend to speak to a manager and voice our complaints and we were told that they weren't around and they would leave our name and number for the manager to call back later (and not in a very nice way.). We never received a call that day and we understood it was a holiday weekend, so we waited until today to try calling back around 2. We were immediately met with attitude that it was a holiday weekend, on a TUESDAY and once again told they will give us a call. So, we tried to contact the actual Adventure Bound company with our concerns and they just sent it over to that locations manager. She basically told us it's our fault for not bringing it up while we were there. THE PROBLEMS WE HAD SHOULD HAVE BEEN ADDRESSED PRIOR TO HOSTING GUESTS! She also told us that no one else has complained about bugs, as if we're making it up. I WISH there weren't bugs in the bed! We were told that it is a campground and they have bugs, which is reasonable but there should be measures in place to prevent them from being in the bed. Her way of trying to make the situation better was to offer a credit as if we would ever want to stay at any Adventure Bound Camping Resort again after this experience. Every person we have been in contact with has been either rude or dismissive (I'm looking at you Carrie) simply because we didn't raise a confrontation while there on our vacation, and even contacting the company itself has gotten us nowhere.
