We stayed at Adventure Awaits RV Resort in June 2025. We have a 40ft fifth wheel and dual wheel pickup along with two small dogs. We called Dave as we were coming down the driveway and he was waiting to help us with our site. We had site 28 right across from the winery building. Sites are grass and sand and are pull in. You then unhook and park beside or behind your rig. Good power, water and sewer.
Our Boost mobile service was fair and Star Link worked great. We ran our air conditioning almost full time with no issues. The park has a self service building with drinks, snacks and farm fresh eggs (we saw the chicken). Prices were affordable. There was a miscommunication in the number of days we were staying but the overcharge was promptly corrected with no issues.
We enjoyed the surrounding area and spent a few days visiting historical sites. If you have a chance, stop at a WayBack Burger shop (there are several in the surrounding communities). My husband had the cheesy burger and said it was great. I had the buffalo chicken strips and they were the best chicken strips I...
Read moreWill not return and wound up leaving. Had made reservations for 2 RVs, we have kids / grandkids etc. Both sites were pull through capable (not that we need that) and we wanted to flip one so that our camp sides were facing each other. (Again, grand kids). There was a ton of room, owner was arrogant, kept flip flopping on why we weren't allowed. First it was "connections won't reach"...not a problem we have extensions. Then it was "you'd have to back out (into a HUGE open area) and that's not safe". With 3 adults to spot? In the middle of the day? Nobody around? Give me a break. We were told thats the way it is and we could "go ahead and check out now". Well....we hadn't paid a dime yet so we went ahead and drove like 3 miles away to G & R Campground where they accommodated us with zero notice and were EXTREMELY pleasant staff and new owners. G & R was also a much nicer "campground" feel. Funny enough ran into some other campers that had an unpleasant experience with Adv Awaits owner. Poor attitude and...
Read moreAdventures Await in Houston, Delaware, is an absolute gem! We spent another fantastic Halloween camping weekend there, and as always, it exceeded our expectations. We’ve been visiting for a couple of years, and the campground consistently impresses with its year-round availability, clean and well-maintained grounds, and welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere.
Debbie and Chris are incredibly friendly, accommodating, and genuinely caring—they make you feel right at home. Camp Host Dave is the backbone of the operation, keeping everything running smoothly and ensuring every guest has a great experience.
The campground is packed with fun and unique amenities: an on-site winery, friendly farm animals, an indoor pool, playground, dog park, scenic nature trails, and even a cool egg shack offering camping essentials and firewood.
