We stayed here twice this month. The first night we were able to have wifi, however our site was fairly tight having to park our truck beside the camper. We hooked up electrical then ran out to see family, and upon our return our neighbors had connected to our water and sewer. They are all close together and other than electrical they are not well identified. We ended up asking the neighbors to move their water as our waterline couldn't reach to one that was left, and one of the sewers that was between our sites was broken, so we just agreed to share the one sewer. This site number was 62, it did have a bit of shade from a tree. It was half of a pull though essentially. The second time we stayed we had a full pull through site so it was more spacious. But we did not have wifi the entire 6 days. They claimed they were waiting for repairs, but it never worked. We were visiting family so were really only at the site to sleep. This is not a place I would call a destination. It's a gravel parking lot, with campers close together like a parking lot. No tables or fire rings. Not somewhere you can enjoy the outdoors and sit out. The staff were friendly and kind. We were able to combine our two separate stays to get the one day free. It was convenient for our purposes, but not if we had expected or wanted to "enjoy" sitting out or "camping" cooking outdoors etc. Also, disappointing that they advertise (and therefore the price is built in) for. wifi yet it...

We were here last on October of 2019. We would not be here now had we not encountered a severe wind storm and needed a safe port. Access to the park was easy with good signage. There is pavement up until you arrive at the park. Park roads are dirt/gravel and still have lots of potholes and puddles. Not much different then four years ago. Check in was quick, pleasant and informative which was quite a bit different from our last visit.

Again, we requested a Power only site and that's all we paid for. All sites are FHU. We only needed and wanted the electric so that's all we used. Our site, F83, as well as all the rest, was a small space in big gravel parking lot. It came with a table but no fire pit or patio. There is a cable connection but there is no cable. We did find a number of OTA channels. Wifi is only available near the office. We did not use the washrooms nor did we bother to check on them. It was too windy to venture about. There are no restaurants or services within easy walking distance. A shopping center is a few blocks away. We paid $32.00 (28.51plus tax) We feel that we received very good value this time. We would stay here again if we were caught in another wind storm but otherwise we would look elsewhere. The camping area is too dreary and depressing. There is no attempt to beautify it at all. We camped at Fort Caspar Campground in...

The manager was super friendly and professional. However.... wifi is garbage, if you want to sit back and watch a movie or navigate the web after a long day of driving forget it. They are pet friendly but really strict. Another issue is the bathrooms. They are clean and all but the toilets have a curtain for a door. And if you are sitting on the toilet the curtain sits on your knees. Well when you stand up to wipe up your undercarriage you either have a face full of curtain, or you open in and be exposed to the world. I chose the later as there was no one in there everyone should be at work right? Well in walks the cleaning gal. Into the men's restroom without knocking or hesitation. She says "oh how long are you gonna be?" I told her a few minutes and she began to tell me how I was wrong because she cleans st this time. We are passing through, we are guests that don't live here full time, we dont know what her schedule is and we shouldn't have to. She should have knocked. She apologized but then kept saying it's her cleaning time. Can you imagine if a man walked into a woman's shower, asked how long she was gonna be, while he stared at her? Oh there would be a law suit..... but I'm a dude, who cares if a woman violates a man's private time. In short I do not recommend because of the staffs inappropriate behavior and the silly rules for dogs and...

I stayed here for 5 months, May-Sep 2019. I liked that it was tucked away behind the Fort Caspar museum and felt like it was out of the way enough from the main roads in town. There is plenty of room to maneuver, even with our 42’ 5th wheel. It’s an all year campground, so the water spigots are wired to work even in freezing temps. The river is at the back end of the campground and is a great place to fish. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The laundry room was always clean and everything worked as normal. The only thing I didn’t like was how muddy it gets there. It’s all dirt and rock, so melting snow and rain makes quite a mess. Would be nice if there was at least some grass at the camp sites. It’s definitely good for a stop over and not bad for a long term stay if you can deal with the muddiness and of course the wind and snow.

Park is nothing but gravel, dry and blah. Rv spots have you bumper to bumper with another and only 10 ft side by side. Utilities worked, although there is no cable. I had better hopes with the website saying it was right next to a nature park, but no, it's as ugly as the rest of Casper, and equally surrounded by industrial buildings. Easy spot along our cross country route to stay, but that's all. Not a destination. $37 a night is fairly inexpensive, but seems a bit much for what you get here.
