Budget Inn of Mineola — Hotel in Mineola

We chose this hotel because it was cheap and my boyfriend was working less than a mile up the road for 3 days. Upon entering the room, it was very small, which was fine with me. The small, dainty chain on the wall for the door had the bottom screw coming out partially, but I didn't need it anyway. There was no coffee pot, but that's okay. I bought coffee up the road. The shower took 45 minutes to get warm and only lasted 5 to 7 minutes. The air conditioner unit got very cold, which I enjoyed, but when I tried the heat later, it never worked. The sheets and towels were stained, but they were very clean. Two different plugs didn't work, but I didn't have much to plug up. The cable cut in and out, but we had a storm that night, so it could have been that. The hotel phone didn't work, but I have a cellphone. There's an ice bucket in the room, but no ice machine on property. I was told by the guy staying in the room next to me that the soda machine doesn't work, but will take your money. There was no big tables, but we didn't need one. There was 2 small bedside tables that worked perfectly for us. The closet looked like a punishment corner, which for some reason, I found funny. There was no hair dryer, but I'm a guy and don't use them so it didn't bother me. The place looks like a movie set of a scary movie, to be totally honest. The bathroom window would not open and it was painted over. There was no "Do Not Disturb" signs for the doors, but we didn't need one. The entrance and exit was on a hill and dangerous, not being able to see oncoming traffic.

At 03:07 A.M., I was lying in my bed. I just woke up, not even sure why. I heard my cellphone go off with a notification. The moment I opened my eyes, I heard a knock, 3 taps, on my door followed by my name in a soft voice. I waited to see if it was my boyfriend, but no one responded. I got up to check my cellphone, but no notification. I got a cigarette and opened the door, but no one was there. At 03:30 A.M., I heard a faint tapping on the door. At 03:55 A.M., I heard the door to the room to the right open, but that room was empty. At 04:05 A.M., the television remote was lying less than a foot away and I heard tapping like someone or something was tapping a finger on it, then the toilet flushed on it's own. This place is haunted. I've felt some kind of presence during my stay, but these events...
