My Family was in town Saturday for a funeral. We typically have stayed here in the past without issues. We arrived late Friday night for check-in. I parked out front and entered the main lobby doors where I was instantly hit with a very strong smell of weed. You could tell whomever had recently been smoking prior to our arrival as the odor was punjent. We said something to the Lobby worker who stated that someone must have been smoking outside. Then we left the premises to attend family gatherings. We returned after 10:30 p.m. parked at the side maintenance entrance which was not locked or secured. The strong odor of weed was now just as strong as it was at the main entrance. When we checked in no one asked for car make model or license plate#. You're just given your card and off you go. Doors to enter hotel, aren't locked over night, which is a big security issue. Around 11:30 PM my husband went to the front lobby to check into reserving another room for the night due to ongoing family matters. He was greeted by a very rude female employee who had no clue how to work the computer system, nd didn't know how to help us use our loyalty program and points. Most importantly why the rates had changed from the time he had first gone up there to moments later when he went back with the credit card they had changed three separate times and had gone up. She was unable to do any price adjustments or match to the online price that was shown. So then I went online to reserve the room and the price was again different once it hit midnight. We had used the toilet facilities in each of our rooms and they did not flush and everything that was flushed kept on coming back up and the water ran all night long. The next morning we were ready to check out. I had addressed things with the front-end staff who told me she was the GM of this facility. She and the male with her were very polite and understanding. I explained the situation to her she had immediately called the owner of the hotel to address my complaints. I could hear her speaking to the owner, it was about 9am in the morning, the owner wasn't "awake enough" yet to have this conversation. The GM advised us that she would speak to her when she was more awake and would have a solution for us later. At final checkout we still didn't have any solutions to our complaints. The GM took down my personal information and reassured me that she would call me back after discussing things with the owner. The day went on, I never heard from anyone. I called back that evening, she had already left. I called back today and she only works on the weekends, so again not available. When I called today, I asked for the owners contact information, I was given her name and number. I spoke to her and she immediately started making excuses that they were completely booked with 25 rooms and not one other customer complained of any of the weed smells or the security issues with the doors not being locked or any other complaints throughout the weekend. She did talk to the said male employee from Friday night's check in and he had said the same thing to her that someone must have been smoking in the lobby and the fumes had wafted into the hotel. I had let her know he is the one that smelled like weed as well not just the lobby so it was obvious that he was the culprit in the first place. Was also told by the GM that he and his girlfriend live on site which made sense because we continued to smell the weed throughout the hallways and at the maintenance entrance later that evening. The owner really didn't seem too concerned about any of my complaints that were addressed and said that she had to sit down and review the receipts to determine what she could do about the rates. She said she could offer a credit, but I would have to wait until my receipts came in the mail. As a business owner I would expect her to give me a call back to let me know that she has gone over everything and what she was...
Read moreThis is a no-frills roadside motel, which I knew when I booked, but spending close to $100 per night to stay in this nightmare has been the lowest “quality” hotel of any place I’ve stayed.
Upon arrival, the front desk clerk was sitting on his phone in the lobby. He was sitting in the same spot when we returned 5 hours later. We ended up getting keys to three different rooms, and it was similar to The Price is Right, except horror hotel edition.
Room 1: upon arrival, we set down our bags and left. 5 hours later, we came back to sleep and the room smelled like sewage. Something may have died in the air conditioner or the drain, but I legitimately asked my boyfriend to check the wardrobe for a body. He wanted to switch, so we went to the front desk.
Room 2: after a decent interrogation, the clerk found us another room, next to the stink sewage, but we chuckled and tried to stay high spirits. We went back up the stairs and swiped our key, opened the door… and instead of winning a car or a new set of appliances, we won — A COUPLE IN THE BED. This man gave us the room keys to SOMEONE ELSE’s ROOM??? We profusely apologized, those people must have been horrified. I was horrified.
We went back to the clerk and he was LAUGHING at what had happened?? Dude seriously? I paid how much for a sewage room and a horrifying experience of walking in on a couple in bed? I asked my boyfriend if we could just sleep in the car. The clerk make an excuse of getting a phone call while we were switching rooms.
The clerk tried to put us in the room next to the couple we just violated…and I said please no. He then put us directly BELOW THEM, alright.
Instead we headed to Room 3. After seeing a man’s full buttox hanging out of his trousers as he loitered by the hot tub, I just wanted water, and to cry. I opened Room 3, went to use the bathroom, and the toilet was full of brown water and silt, perhaps the source of smell of the sewage? Then the toilet wouldn’t flush and just ran. My boyfriend opened it up and fixed it, but it still doesn’t work right. It ran for hours and hours and hours. And I’m sleeping beneath a couple — we will forever be in each other’s thoughts.
The vending machine only has Pepsi, it ate our money and didn’t have literally any other beverage. The water dispenser water tastes like silt and I just want to go sleep in my car and get as far from here...
