This is a members only mini style resort. As members we rented the venue for a large event. The venue itself is beautiful, and the front line staff is extremely helpful and courteous. However, after several weeks of preparing for the event, the week before we were suddenly hit with all kinds of additional fees that had not been discussed up to that point. On top of the room fees for all the hotel rooms, both tiny homes, and all 4 Camp Sundance cabins, and the food pricing which had all been agreed upon, we were informed at THIS POINT there would be a $3500 fee for the venue itself. Then when asked to please make sure that the heaters were all working (as this venue is mostly outdoors and there are standing heaters outside on a daily basis) we were informed there would be an additional $500 upcharge to use the heaters and we were not allowed to bring our own heaters for insurance purposes. As if this was not frustrating enough, we were constantly watched by management remotely by camera, and though there was not one single other member there at the bar or in the restaurant, were told we could not begin set up for the event which began at 6pm until 3pm. Thankfully we had many wonderful friends who pitched in and helped us get set up ahead of schedule and the front line staff was again very helpful, and the event came together beautifully. If you are a member, the venue is beautiful and seats a very large number of guests, but I would highly recommend getting a contract up front.
Post event update Apparently because this was a special event, the prices of the drinks were raised (confirmed by regular members) AND they charged bar guests a $20 "delivery fee" on each of their tabs. Then management falsely accused our party of stealing a bottle of Blueberry Vodka from the bar even though they had cameras watching all evening that clearly showed no guests going...
Read moreThe Sundance Club was absolutely unforgettable! Nestled on top of scenic mountain side, the resort has breathtaking views and a peaceful, luxurious vibe that made the entire experience feel like a dream.
From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredible—attentive, fast, and genuinely respectful. Their hospitality made us feel truly cared for. The entire resort was immaculately clean—from the rooms to the spa to every little corner of the property…don’t even get me started on the gym & what they have to offer. You can tell they take great pride in maintaining a high standard.
As for the food… I tried everything on the menu (because birthdays are for indulging!) and not a single dish disappointed. Each meal was thoughtful, fresh, and seriously delicious.
There’s something for everyone here—whether it’s off-roading adventures, scenic hikes, or just relaxing with a glass of wine while taking in the view. The perfect balance of rustic charm and modern luxury.
Outside the resort, there are even more gems to explore—like Possum Kingdom Lake for a day of boating or kayaking, Mineral Wells State Park for hiking and rock climbing, or even a relaxing drive into historic downtown Graham for quaint shops and Texas charm. There’s no shortage of ways to make your stay even more memorable.
Whether you’re celebrating something special or just need a peaceful getaway, I can’t recommend Sundance Club enough. I’m already planning my...
Read moreWe had an amazing family reunion at Clayton Mountain! The numerous amenities allowed for an itinerary that satisfied everyone. All of the pools were sparkling clean, the Clubhouse on the Lake provided a fun, private family gathering, and the pickleball court and corn hole boards allowed for a friendly, yet competitive, family event. The movie theatre was a hit for the younger children while the older kids enjoyed the game tables. The restaurant had 1 minor hiccup the first day in trying to provide everyone with their lunch in a timely manner (there were a lot of us). However, the second day was much better! The room accommodations were high end, clean and comfortable. The Sundance staff was very accommodating, friendly and professional. They had everything ready for us from day one and throughout the gathering. All the amenities were in good condition with the exception of the gameroom equipment. Luckily, we had purchased our own in advance of the event. I will say that the communication could use some minor improvements. It was a bit confusing knowing which email address to use and waiting for responses amidst the planning. By day 3, we had an abundance of fun in the sun, excitement well into the evening hours and the joy of being with family. I will say that our experience at Clayton Mountain met our expectations, and all the family members agreed that this was a great place for another future,...
