A beautiful campground along the river! Vault toilets were clean with plenty of toilet paper. The sites are first-come, first-serve at $20 per night! There are picnic tables and fire pits scattered throughout the campground. Don't forget to pin your receipt to the wooden post so someone doesn't take your spot if you have to leave! I visited in November, but this would be even more of a paradise in the summer with the rope swing into the water.

Thrilled to get one of the last available camping spots. Arrived around 1 pm and we only saw two spots in all of the campgrounds in the canyon. Felt like someone saved the best for last. Enjoyed a beautiful view of the river and the river rafts, SUPs and small river boats. Plenty of space between campers, quiet and private. Big A+ for us traveling in our van. Will definitely come back.

One of the many self pay campgrounds alongside the river. $20/night unless you have a senior pass or access pass then it’s only $10/night. Sites seem small, not really accommodating for a big rig or a class A, but would be perfect for a van or a car camper or just for tent camping. Has a vault toilet.

We were two nights at the Hal Canyon campground. All of the campgrounds in this series beside the Colorado River along Utah highway 128 share the sounds of the river with traffic. More river than highway this time of year, late September. Clean toilet and ample trash container provide infrastructure along with bench style table and safe fire rings. This particular campground has more tent sites and smaller RV spaces than the two which are north and south of it. We tent camped and in a strong front passage with two inches of rainfall, found good drainage and protection from side...

If you are looking for a place to sleep at night near Moab, Utah and don't mind camping, this campground is a good budget choice. This is one of a handful of basic campgrounds in the canyon, just outside of town. The sites are basic and some don't have any shade. There are pit toilets, no running water. We just needed a place to stay overnight and didn't want to pay $40 for a tent site. This campground is $20 a night, which if you know Moab prices is a bargain. If you need showers, you can buy a shower at the...

I can't give a legitimate review on the campground as I just drove past it. I can give you a review on Utah 128 the upper Colorado River scenic byway is one of my favorite scenic routes in the country. The route is only a little over 44 miles long and starts on interstate 70 and ends at Moab Utah. The route itself winds through a gorgeous canyon that is picturesque and breathtaking in every way. I can't wait to ride through it next...
