My husband booked this rv park on a whim on the internet, arriving the next day from booking, he wanted to stay close to the West Rim of the GC to go to the skywalk. The park is about 45 min away and a very pretty drive. Keep in mind though that Meadview is out in the middle of No Where! It is definitely a “Desert Get Away”, as stated on their website. The location is very difficult to find as other reviewers had posted, my biggest fear was not getting stuck on the Hualapai dirt road everyone had mentioned, but even knowing this we still managed to pass up Meadview Blvd, We have a class A 44’, and missed the turn, YEP! Missed it! We drove on up the road towards Lake Meade looking for somewhere to pull off to turn around. There is not a sign (Blue w/ a tent) or their sign indicating to turn right. We were told by someone that they aren’t allowed to put their sign out by the road, but we don’t understand why they can’t have a blue sign like the other place. |I called the # on the website with no answer, so I texted that we couldn’t find the road. She called back and was very nice directing us back, (we were about 8 miles past the road), and found a place to turn around after we unhooked our tow jeep. What we didn’t realize until we checked in is that she isn’t even there, she was in Utah, which wasn’t a huge deal, just surprised. ||The directions state it is 8 miles from the Family Dollar… once you see FD on your left definitely be on the lookout. As directions state you will see a blue sign for Meadview RV Camp Ground, that is not them! But you are getting close. Put Meadview Blvd in your gps so you don’t miss it. Once you turn right, then you will turn left on to Sandy Point, then left on to Hualapai (DO NOT TURN Right ON Hualapai if you do miss Meadview Blvd as your gps will direct you, because it IS the dirt road other reviewers talked about), when you turn left off of Sandy Point it IS a dirt road and has rivets, but you aren’t on it very long from this direction, Happy Trails is up on the right. The directions state something like they are in the heart of the city (or town ?), don’t be fooled like I was expecting to see normal population of a town, it’s just trailers and houses where people live and a gas & grub store which we stopped at to play the power ball that we didn’t win… |A grounds keeper Dave showed us to our site #1 and had his campers but for a front view. |3 rooms were occupied at the mini motel, which looked like a trailer partitioned out, each with sliding front doors.||The stay was fine, no issues, saw three bunnies and a cool bird. The Joshua Trees are everywhere. On way back from GC stopped at the GC ranch. It was fun, had lunch, Dave played his guitar and sang for us. Truly worth stopping by and checking...
