Predators are out in public: we need to be VIGILANT🙏🏼
This is a beautiful place with a disturbing truth I need to say:
I was here in summer of 2023 with my spouse and kids.
There was 2 men and a little boy between 7-10yrs old.
I remember till this day and I’m so upset with myself 6/2022 for not paying attention. The men had the boy clinched to them in the water. They did not allow the little boy to play with other kids and another couple a man and wife asked the men if that was their son. Both parties were speaking Spanish, I don’t understand Cuban Spanish since alot of Cubans come here. But my spouse understands and was listening in on them. Somehow the men and young boy Managed to get out the river while we got distracted with our own kids. Later that night back at my house in Vegas I was so upset with a strong intuition. I spoke of it with my spouse and my father who was also with us and even my father without knowing what we were talk ain’t about said he thought it was weird what he saw also but we’re here on a HOT summer DAY, Where we think everyone who is there are honest people 💔
Please just be aware and have your eyes open. I’ll FOREVER regret not acting like a maniac and going extreme measure TO SAVE A CHILD! This lays HEAVY in my heart.
I wish to have protected that little boy and took the...

The place is pretty big and has bbq’s and tables crammed everywhere a handful under canopies the rest just all over a grass area in the sun. The river section is very small and it doesn’t take many people to make it feel crowded. If all the bbq areas were taken there would be so many people there you could fill the river shoulder to shoulder standing room only. The river bottom is a mix of large rocks and pebbles and it’s difficult walking around. It’s also full of tiny fish that are constantly nibbling on your feet and legs. We took tubes because from the look of pictures and description of the place we assumed you could float around like you are in a lazy river but it’s actually not possible to do that. We ended up tying them together and to a tree on the bank and just floating in one spot. They do keep the place clean and nice but the $25 entry fee for adults and $20 for kids over 2 years old is just ridiculous. Honestly if it were $10 for adults and kids were free it would still be pushing it. We definitely wouldn’t bother going back it would be much more enjoyable going to the lake or one of the other river areas...
Read moreDefinitely worth the day trip! Another hidden gem only 1 hour away from Las Vegas off the beaten path. We enjoyed the scenic beauty, peaceful downtime, soothing sound of flowing water, a great spot for a quick getaway!
The water is its best feature, at a pleasant temperature all year round it's a great time to swim in the river. They have lots of shaded picnic tables and BBQ grills, flush toilet and shower.
We're coming back! 😊 Hopefully they keep this place peaceful and enjoyable for relaxing and quality time.
It would be best to put back the NO LOUD...
