The campground is fine. Though the outhouse is pretty disgusting. Beware of aggressive drivers who work at the Dam. They are very disrespectful, drive way too fast and on the weekends. The place is closed on weekdays until the debris removal is complete but open on weekends only. There are conflicting reports if the area is open beginning Friday evening

See my review for Azusa Canyon West Fork Devils Dam TT. I didn't camp here, just rode by on bike. Cannot access Cogswell Dam 1 mile up road. Killer hill to ride down though. Campground seems kinda boring. No trails that I saw. Just hike in 6 miles on paved road. This is what city folk call roughing it. At least there is a river and fishing.

Beautiful, clean campground. San gaberial river near by. Fishing platform for fishing. You have to bike in or hike in with your gear. It's about 6.5 mile to the campground from your car.

Valentine's Day Bike Camping Excursion Success! From the parking lot, we biked in during the sunset with packs and gear. Joy, our trail-runner, enjoyed the freedom to express mobility. This was such an enjoyable ride with plenty of shade through the foliage and a cool humidity along the stream. Waterfall-serenaded kisses were a momentous enchantment! We decided to camp just before the campsite; we enjoyed the pocket tucked down beside the road at the outhouse and picnic space. The next day, we completed the strenuous ride(and walk) to the reservoir for a scenic picnic while reminiscing of a most enjoyable romantic occasion shared...

One of my favorite spots to camp but you do have to hike in your camping equipment about 8 Miles to this campsite and yes you can have a campfire if you get a fire permit from the ranger station and the fire is in the designated fire rings only unless told otherwise by the forestry when you're getting your fire permit they will ask you where you're camping and then they will tell you if it's permitted or not but I've never had a problem at...

This walk or ride in campground has 10 spots with picnic tables, fire rings, BBQ's and two pit toilets. It is located 7 miles down a paved fire road following the West Fork of the San Gabriel River from hwy 39. The only water available is stream water. I believe if you have a disabled placard you may drive to the campground. There are two...
