This is a "medium" size park, with what looks like an equal number of pull-through and back-in sites, as well as lots of tent sites and cabins. There are a number of long term folks here, and it appears that all the RV sites have concrete pads, 30 & 50 amp service, water and sewer and CATV with about 30 channels. Our site was level and our 52 ft rig ( 28' ft Class C towing a VW Beetle) fit with some room to spare.
Water pressure is good and the common areas are clean and well-kept. Most of all, there is GRASS - lots of it and Max and Mr. Winston love it after almost a week of gravel and sandy straw.
Since we got in late and since the park ad mentioned "Free Internet" we didn't set up Dishy. Big mistake since the so called "free internet" must be free since it is pathetically slow. Further investigation reveals there are no hamsters on the wheel but rather ants - not even fire ants or giant ants or alien-mutated ants - just a couple of lethargic, arthritic, under nourished, narcoleptic tiny ants.
And for the low price of only $3.99/day, you can purchase internet that allegedly allows you to stream. Considering the "free internet" is described as being adequate for "email, browsing and social media", when it is in fact adequate only for inventing new cuss words, I chose not to invest $3.99 to check it out. Luckily I have full bars with AT&T and that's working just fine.
We received a pre-check-in email and two phone calls today prior to arriving to ensure we knew our site and other info since they were closing early. When we arrived we found a complete arrival pack with all the necessary information. $45/night with Good Sam discount. Bottom line is that it's a really nice place however the free internet sucks and to be nickel and dimed for $3.99 a day for "optional" service when the free service is so slow is...
Read moreThe RV park would be nice for a day or two but if your a contractor find another location the ladies up front are nice but the Owners a POS!! after staying here a while he kept jacking up the rates without improvments to the park the back area the Luxury spots the internet doesn't work, the back road floods evertime it rains, no cable, says you get two parking spots when you pay back there but you can't have a motorcycle trailer or golf cart or they will charge you more they even told me I couldn't park my motorcycle in the spot "I should park it under my 5th wheel" you can figure there will be a water break about every month and the sewer has backed up several times since I've been there. the water is well water which isn't bad but it has a ton of sand in it so if you have an inline filter expect it to start plugging up in a week. and I would highly suggest you get a filter you don't want all that junk in your lines in the RV. there is no gym like they say on thier webpage, and the pool is usually so many leaves and crap in it you need to clean it yourself before you evan want to swim in it!!
Once the owner heard that a big job was coming for Exxon he jacked the rates and started charging for Motorcycle trailers, they put post it notes on your doors saying you had 3 days notice with the change of rules and then threaten to have trailers removed. They put in about 30 new spots so he could capitalize on the situation but the work was very poor water drains back into the park there is still mud piles all over park water standing on the grass for days afterwards.
You can find a better park at cheaper rates in the area I would highly recommend this be your last...
Read moreI will preface by saying, I am highly offended by this park due to their actions and their discrimination.
Before moving our camper, we went through the entire process of booking our reservation. Keep in mind, we live full time on the road. At the end of the call, the woman asked what breed our dog was. She proceeded to send me her personal cell number asking for pictures of him. I then sent her a picture that apparently wasn't adequate and she asked for "full face and body pictures." Along with the following pictures of our dog, I attached his ESA (Emotional Service Animal) certification written by my doctor explicitly stating that it is a violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Fair Housing Act, and the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. For those who are not aware of the Fair Housing Act - section (802) subsection (B) states that "'Dwelling' means any building, structure, or portion thereof which is occupied as, or designed or intended for occupancy as, a residence by one or more families, and any vacant land which is offered for sale or lease for the construction or location thereon of any such building, structure, or portion thereof."
Even though I provided proof of our dog's certification and blatantly told her it is in violation, her and her supervisor still turned us away. If anyone is planning on staying at this park (whether it be with children, pets, or none of the above) be aware that glaring discrimination occurs with those that...
