Boudreaux's Waterfront Motel — Hotel in Montegut

We lost our camp in Grand Isle during Hurricane Ida. This was our first time back in the area to fish. Boudreaux's is excellently situated for fishing. It has a boat launch, and you can park your boat directly below your room. There are tables and grills underneath the raised motel. The area and the motel are still in recovery from Ida. We stayed in the 1/2 of the motel that has been renovated. The room was clean but small. There was a queen bed and a twin bed. The beds were raised, so storage of suitcases and bags was available underneath. The room had a microwave, a coffee pot (regular, not pod--bring coffee and filters), and a fridge/freezer combo. There was a t.v., but there was no streaming or cable service connected. The bathroom had a large tub/shower combo. The sink is in the main part of the room. There is a very rudimentary hanging/storage place for clothing. Bring hangers. The a/c/heater combo worked well. (We had to use both during our stay.) Stayed there for 4 night this year, this is the 3rd year in a row we wave stayed at this location for our annual fishing trip. The location is great, the ability to hang out under the motel with your boat tied up is great and having a private boat ramp and fish cleaning station is great. But thats where the good ends, it has definitely taken a downward spiral in the last 3 years, power was out, on almost all the receptacles down stairs , including the power for the raw water/ sewage sump pump that was over flowing and spilling into the canal, each room has a TV but no service, the blankets (or lack thereof) was insane. The ability to locate someone to get some of these issues were non existent, Ice machines non-functional......so basically you had a place to lay down and a shower (it had plenty of hot water)......if your looking for just a basic place to sleep for a fishing trip then this is definitely the place, has access to a bait store, and a place to get fuel and ice, and the Leeville Seafood restaurant is great....but the hotel is...

My husband and I have been going here every year for 12 yrs and he has went much longer. The past few years have not been the best experience for us!! This place is becoming more run down and the people in the office are not friendly at all. The hours that people on on staff is ridiculous, someone should be there 24 hours a day. For example we have had our ac go out in the room before took forever in the middle of the summer to get someone to fix it. If you have an emergency and have to leave unexpected there's no one there to check you out. We've had to do that before and went through hoops to get in touch with someone to let them know we were gone and needed to pay.
