What a nice little camping area. Open camping along the lake front with plenty of fire pits and picnic tables. Only 1 other group there on a Sunday evening, but it probably gets somewhat busy on the weekends. Based on the setup I would guess you can always find a spot though. Clean and well-maintained bathrooms, great views of a very beautiful lake. My only complaint would be the streetlights - very bright for a primitive camping area. Heard a great horned owl and saw its shadow fly around a bit as well. Surprisingly few mosquitos.

What a fantastic find! Quiet area with plenty of wide open spots. Primitive camped here on our way to Wyoming and back. $10 a night, you can't beat it. Lake, picnic areas, rest rooms, and bath houses. The lake had plenty of fish biting.

Looks to be a great place to camp. Every time I've been there it has a few campers scattered throughout. I heard there is good fishing on the lake. I prefer to fish the pond in the park.

Pros; Great place to camp and fish. Some camp sites are shoulder to shoulder camping, If you like group camping it’s perfect. Most are right on the lake side. Fishing is great for kids lots of sunfish and bluegill. Small mouth bass in the 10-14 inch range. Lake and grounds are well kept. Has nice play ground area for kids

Cons; my campsite was full of cigarette butts everywhere. The campers that arrived later behind us apparently smoke. I could smell her cigarette smoke all the time. Not what I come here for. Also no beach or swimming for the kids.

Recommendations: make the campground smoke free!! Make a beach/ swimming...

Writing as a touring cyclist (July 2020). Tent camping $10/night. Primitive campground along the northern shore of the lake was well maintained. Bathrooms (with flushing toilets) were new(er) and clean. Registration was easy. My only gripe is that individual campsites are unmarked, and there isn't a place for posting your registration card at your respective campsite. Wasted some time...
