This was our second time visiting and will unfortunately be our last. Our experience with Tonya was not so great. We are not ones to leave bad reviews as I know how important they can be for a business. But I would want to be aware if it were my first time going. When booking our trip, no one made us aware that the slide was currently down, which is one of the main amenities that our kids enjoy. The pool closes at 5:45, putt putt closes and they had false advertisement for putt putt regarding the price. You have to pay $5 per person to play but on the paper given stating putt putt being available it says no where on there that you have to pay. When we called to speak to Tonya she was rude and in no way tried to be accommodating to us. One of her own family members told us that they have already had issues with her and that he knows she causes problems. However, he was very nice and willing to help anyway he could. The people a few spaces down from us went to putt putt and took the flier showing the events for the weekend and told them that no where on that paper it states that you have to pay for putt putt so the girl told them they could play for free. We go down to do the same, and yet again another not so friendly employee wouldn’t honor the same for us. I understand certain things may be extra, but when you are already paying to stay there the amenities should be included. You also pay for each person for a pool pass, no tables and no chairs at the pool. All other campgrounds we have stayed at the amenities are included. She is more worried about a golf cart inspection than she is making her paying customers satisfied. She even had the decency to call us back and one of our group members were talking in the background asking something because we were all discussing what had happened and she made a rude comment basically saying I hear someone in the background telling questions to ask and pretty much trying to act like our conversation needed to be private. We had a group of 7 originally coming but unfortunately all but 3 had to cancel, but they have just lost business of...
Read moreVery disappointed in our recent stay here! We had a group of 3 campers to stay together- originally 7!!. One of the main amenities (slide) was closed and no one felt the need to tell us that when we called and booked our trip. The pool closes at 6 and you have to be out by 5:45! I feel that is early during the summer when you have kids and nothing else to really do. There is putt-putt but it is an extra charge per office staff- $5 a person on top of what you have already paid to stay there. Tonya was very rude in the front office, and in no way shape or form tried to make things better with our stay when a member from our group reached out to them about the extra charge. A member of our group called and the phone call was on speaker and Tonya had the nerve to say “I hear someone telling you the questions to ask” they then said yes the call is on speaker bc we all are unhappy, they told her “they didn’t know the phone call had to be private” She said oh no it don’t, I’m sorry! We received a paper when arriving that said campers amenities and no where on the form did it say there would be an extra charge for any of the activities. Posted below! Also had an arcade which also closed when the pool did. Flies were terrible where we stayed and had no shade in the W spots. Our first night we had 2 dogs (black and brown) that apparently are an owners dogs that got into our trash and drug it into the grass. Bathhouse was nasty! Also, where we were it wasn’t gated, and with kids it didn’t feel safe! Anyone could come up there where we were! Don’t feel our stay was worth the money! Definitely don’t feel Tonya should be in a leadership role or dealing with any customers! Customer service matters, and unfortunately, that was...
Read moreBy far the worst campground I've stayed at as far as tent camping goes. The owner was nice at first set us up closest to the power box and water. Went down hill fast. The ones who stay in RV campers were constantly riding their golf carts on the trail by our tent. Not just at day but all hours of the night. We Could hear ppl arguing on the porch of their campers and yelling at 1am. There's a huge pond but of course those that fish had to fish next to our tent and I mean 5 feet from our tent. They left hooks on the ground and my dog stepped on one cutting the pad on his paw. The maintenance never came and got the trash from the trash cans so I had to load up the trash in the back of my car and take it to the dumpster bc the bees and flies were unbearable. Everyone is supposed to pick up their dogs poop but nobody did and they left the poop where the tent campers are which means I PICKED IT UP. Quiet hours are between 10-7 and that's the loudest hours. The RV campers have zero regard for the tent campers. When you see someone is camping in a tent have some respect and don't be driving by on your golf cart blaring music while they're trying to enjoy fishing and eating lunch. It's not that hard to be considerate of others. The showers were decent but you have to drive to them. The dryers do not dry your clothes in one cycle. Takes 3 cycles. The Office is never open to get ice. We bought our ice at the gas station down the road. We were the only tent campers there and we stayed for 7 days....
