My family came here for a camping trip. Some of us came from NC, NJ, NY and VA. We chose this campground because of their amenities and location. A few good things about the place were it was relatively clean, very quiet and laid back. We enjoyed the pool and playground. The rec room appeared to be left open for use 24 hours which I thought was odd since there is no one around after hours. |The negative: our teenage nephew was using the rec room and moved the fan a few inches. The fan broke and he asked for help to fix it. The lady proceeded to hand a minor a bill for the fan blade of $70. Not sure how a fan could break from moving it a few inches unless it was in poor condition. My nephew shouldnt have touched it so we were going to pay the bill, but since the owner did not speak to any adult about this my husband and sister went to the front to ask a few questions. As soon as my husband said I have a question the owner proceeded to yell at him and was extremely rude, which my sister asked for her to change her tone as they were not there to argue and were going to pay it. (Cash was visably in his hand). The lady continued to go on and yell while my sister explained the rec room was open to the public with no signs saying not to move anything . Since the owner was clearly defensive and appearing to take advantage of the situation my husband and sister left while the lady followed them out the door yelling. She then requested my sister leave her property. Let it be known my sister did not curse or yell and only responded with the same tone as the owner began and continued with. My sister was leaving anyway so it didn't matter. However the lady on her high horse calls the state police to escort my sister off the campground. Mind you she was not being a problem and was peacefully leaving. They then would not let her leave until they ran her license. My sister and husband are both veterans of the military . We were friendly and peaceful the entire time we stayed at this campground and didn't deserve the treatment or taken advantage of. I would be careful coming here as you may be charged for something that was not your fault . We won't...

I stayed here one of my first trips out as an inexperienced camper for a week (I thought I already left a review but apparently not). The staff here was amazing and I loved the location. The campground is close to the highway which makes it very convenient but it is on a quiet road and very nice. My wife and I ran every day on the road without any worry.

The owners are always trying to do activities for campers such as group fires. I also had a flat tire and the owner came by with all his tools and told me to help myself to them if I needed to use any. We ended up leaving late but they were so understanding and kind.

When scheduling my next stop here it was like talking to an old friend and they were just great. I would highly recommend this campground.

One last note the grounds were immaculate. The grass was always trimmed neatly and the facilities...

We stayed here for one night while traveling. This place is excellent if you need a campground for easy on/off of Interstate 81 in Virginia. The campground is very clean, sites are easily accessed. There is a pool and two play areas for kids. There is a mini golf area too. Although we were only there one night it was close enough to Shenandoah National Park that we were able to drive there for a late afternoon hike after checking in. There is a cavern less then a mile away too. Our site was a pull thru and it was quiet. There were some sites closer to the Interstate that may be noisy, so book a pull thru if you are worried about noise. We had full hook ups, and with Good Sam the cost when we stayed was less than $60.00. The people who run it are very nice and I would recommend staying here. We definitely...

Very clean and maintain property. Cabins and rv pull they and back in sites. Was quite pleased that they have a large dog run. Fiancee said shower and toilet area was clean. I personally didn't go up since we had a full service site. Has a basketball court, playground, additional group firepits. Have a swings around a large firepit. Individual firepits with adjustable grill. That came in handy with cooking a meal over the pit. Reason for the 4 stars sites are right next to each other. Trees are young so you have to depend on shade need to have a canopy. Plus, you are next to 81 so can get noisy during the evening with traffic. Wouldn't stop from staying again for an overnight stay going or coming back home.

Close to the interstate so expect traffic noise, our site was on a hill so really needed extra blocks for level. Cabins are on one side of the pool restrooms are centrally located, a good size and clean. A code is needed for entry and closed for cleaning mid morning. Although we were there after 4, the sign 'closed for cleaning' was still on the men's room door. So not sure what happened there as no one was in it. Biggest drawback was the pool closing at 6 on week days. Like many travelers we don't get in until later in the afternoon and were looking forward to a relax in the pool. Unfortunately that didn't happen here. The staff was nice and store was stocked adequately.

Great little RV park! Only 3 tent sites but this IS an RV park. Nice for passing through the area as right off I-81. Close to the wonderful Shenandoah Valley attractions. Wonderful details in this little campground: beautifully landscaped with little ground lights throughout, sparkling clean bathhouse that's air conditioned, 2 playgrounds, AC in the campstore/office for a break from the heat, nice rec building with games, and awesome pool! Usually I car camp in the surrounding forest campgrounds nearby, so this was different. But the owners have put so much care and attention into this little campground, it felt like a little resort.
