I booked this motel because it came up on a travel site as being near the Serpentine Mounds. I made a reservation using a credit card. WHen I arrived with 4 of my kids, I was alarmed at how seedy it looked with several shady looking men milling around. When I tried to check in I was told I needed to give them cash for the room. The merchant was behind one of those plexi glass windows. I told him I made a reservation using a credit card but he insisted on cash NOW. He told me to go to an ATM when I told him I didn't have the cash because I already made the reservation with my credit card. I felt unsafe so I left. I was told by another merchant at a hotel down the street that it was a known drug hangout. I knew I wouldn't have gotten a wink of sleep if we had stayed at that place. So...
   Read moreMy time here was a terrible nightmare. Worse then any Michael Moore scary movie.There motel had every kind of bug u can think of. Bedbugs , roaches and ants all over. I handed the owner all the different types of bugs I was able to find in room#8. I started putting them in a mason jar so she could see what ever she couldn't apparently couldn't see. I lost so much sleep. Because of the owners being rude. Or from other renters coming to my room at 2am. To rent a room because the lady manager wouldn't come out to the outside world. And rent them a room. I'm very sure this place is going to go under very soon. I just spoke the truth .. I'm sorry it that hurt anyone's feelings .Just a warning.. That u prefer a room...
