Trailer Lane RV Park in Weed, CA is a great place to stay if you're looking for a quiet and relaxing camping experience.
The park is small and well-maintained, with a variety of pull-through and back-in sites to choose from. All sites have full hookups, and there is a small playground, fire pit area, and competition-grade bocce ball court for guests to enjoy.
The park is located just off of I-5, but the trees and hills do a good job of blocking out the noise from the highway. The only real downside is the jake brakes from the truckers, but that's something you'll have to deal with at any RV park that's close to the freeway.

Read moreThis is the kind of treasure I would like to keep to myself, AND because I appreciate other reviewers sharing their treasure spots with me I will share. Being in this camp it is very apparent that the owners, Karen and Jay, are people of high integrity, have excellent taste, and have worked hard, and continue to work hard to make this camp a special and unique park.
Some favorite aspects of the camp - we were able to have a pull through site that was very easy, the bathrooms are immaculately clean, very creatively decorated and were heated. The office is a new building at the entrance so easy to find, and it is stocked with a range of supplies that range from coffee to cookies, soap, gifts, and some basic RV supplies. All very well thought out and tasteful. We had lost one of our tow pins, and amazingly they had some for sale.
The beautiful new tent camping offered has stunning views from its deck - took my breath away - Mt. Shasta in her full glory. I had to pull myself away. The view on the otherside of the tent camping area is also gorgeous for as far as your eye can see.
The camp is very conveniently situated to access hwy 5 and hwy 97. The towns of Weed and Shasta are nearby. Lots of great hikes in the area. If you love being in nature this a great camp to base yourself at.
The owners were both very available and amiable. There is also a very nice small goat and chicken area. Children will enjoy seeing them. All in all this was our type of camp.
If you have an large RV with slide-outs on both sides I suggest you talk with Karen or Jay to make sure there is an appropriate...
Read moreWe've stayed here 2x, on the north and south bound trips to Oregon. We were in our 22ft campervan. Appreciate it being easily accessible. Also appreciate the amenities: warm/clean indoor showers and bathrooms, cute and pragmatic camp store, and fresh/tasty spring water and water to fill the van.
Also appreciate that because there is electricity for each site, there is no generator use, making it much more peaceful.
One visit we had a back in spot (A4) which felt very private despite 2 other rigs on either side. The second time we were in a pull through (B5) which also still felt private with plenty of space.
We passed through on a warm day but it was surprisingly 5 degrees cooler at the camp and the shade was filling the sites, making it very comfortable. Road noise didn't seem bad the first visit with the windows closed but the second time through it was warmer so we had the windows open. It was a bit harder to sleep but ear plugs helped. Closing the windows did the trick.
Loved visiting the farm animals -- the goats seem to appreciate a good head or back scratch.
And took a walk up the hill to the tent site area for a view of Shasta. Beautiful up there to sit in the Adirondacks viewing Shasta with the sun setting behind us (no campers at the time). Those look like sweet spots up there with their own full bathrooms too.
It's definitely a great place to land on your travels or if visiting the area. And a really amazing deal....I've paid much more for HipCamp sites with much less or questionable quality of amenities. Would definitely be back if we're heading that direction...
