It’s hard to put into words how much my husband and our family love this place. I just stayed my 7th time in a year. I have stayed in all 4 tents, each with its own individual perks. As every review has already stated, the accommodations are incredible, from the comfy beds and bedding, robes in the bigger tents, grills with propane provided, coffee pots and mugs provided, private showers in or just outside each tent. I have shared it with so many of our friends. I’ve had two separate girls’ weekends here, celebrated our son’s 10th and 11th birthdays here, our family and other families have rented the big tents and spent a weekend together. My husband and I enjoyed a couple’s get away at the first annual Flatwoods Music Festival last month in April. Most recently was this past weekend with my sister and her family, where the accommodations and renting three of the 4 tents made cooking for and sleeping 12 people peaceful and restful. This is truly my favorite place. Not only can I say that Tim & Molly are the best hosts, but I now call them friends as well. They’re the kind of people you want to know- good people who do everything with utmost integrity and care. They’re constantly working around the property to make improvements, anything from building the two new private outdoor showers for the queen sized tents, to clearing new trout fishing paths for their guests along Big Laurel Creek. I love supporting any small business, but it’s an absolute delight to support a local small business that only promotes the good of others and their mental health and the peace of the land. If you stay at Into The Wild Retreat, you will leave better for having done so. It’s a place that grabs at you and calls you back again and again. Want to get away from the craziness of this world? It can’t touch you here....

I booked this weekend on sheer impulse and then bugged poor Molly with loads of questions that she fielded with way too much patience and kindness, always responding promptly and thoroughly. Check-in directions and greeting were amazing. The glamping site and property are indescribably beautiful (even with all the pics I'll attempt to attach) and really must be experienced. I went with two teenage sons and our dog. It was pure bliss being there, surrounded by gorgeous hills and a creek running by, lulling us to sleep. Yet five-star-hotel comfy beds and bedding. A killer shower. Wood delivered for our fire pit. A great grill on which I made better-than-average (according to my kids, who are tough critics) meals. Our dog was in heaven, running in and around the creek and just watching sunrises and sunsets from our deck as we fully relaxed. My boys were content, lazing on the bridge or in the creek. It was a perfect family getaway, and I love the idea of supporting such a beautiful family business venture. Molly and Tim have spared no detail, customizing the glamp site with decor and comforts that make it all feel like home. I celebrated a birthday here that I will never forget. There aren't enough rating stars to say how much we loved it. We will definitely be back. Thank you, Molly...

🌿⛺️ Glamping Perfection in the Blue Ridge Mountains! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely incredible experience! We just returned from a 4-day stay at Into the Wild Retreat in Creston, NC, and it was nothing short of amazing. The property is absolutely gorgeous — peaceful, secluded, and surrounded by nature. Getting there was super easy to navigate, and once we arrived, we were welcomed by Molly and Tim, the most down-to-earth and genuinely kind hosts you could ask for. They went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect — friendly, helpful, and accommodating in every way.

Our glamping tent was beautifully decorated and felt so cozy and homey. The sound of the rushing creek right outside made for the most peaceful nights of sleep. We saw deer right next to our tent around dusk each evening, and the clear mountain water was so refreshing. The stream in front of our tent was full of trout, and it was such a treat to watch them feed every night!

This place has such a special charm — from the scenery to the people. It was the perfect blend of comfort, adventure, and relaxation. We can’t say enough good things and are already planning to come back in the spring! Highly recommend Into the Wild Retreat to anyone looking for an unforgettable mountain...

Into the Wild offers a rare blend of comfort and solitude in nature. Situated on a babbling stream, the Glamping tents boast actual beds with comfy mattresses piled with quilts and cozy flannel sheets. Our tent had a wood stove that kept us cozy on the chilly October nights and a gorgeous view of the mountains and valley. The outdoor shower had hot running water and was extremely clean. My mom’s tent had a flush toilet and hot shower inside which was perfect for an elderly camper or anyone with mobility issues. Each tent is furnished with a coffee bar and French press so you can sip and enjoy hot coffee on your porch while watching the light slowly spill across the land. The site also offers fishing in a stream stocked with rainbow trout, or you can hike alongside the same stream collecting perfect skipping rocks and tossing them across the surface. We enjoyed grass fed beef raised on site which melted in our mouths and we indulged in the Gourmet S’mores add-on which was a perfect way to enjoy our last night at camp and watch the stars come out. Last, but certainly not least, the owners, Molly and Tim, are absolute delights. They tirelessly worked to make our visit comfortable and fun. You will not regret booking a stay at this magical place!
