Bull Shoals Lake Resort has a great website with pretty much all the information and photos you need. There are 20 units on this family owned property and we stayed a week- right before their season became busy. Yet they still had a few couples and a group of 30 people who like many others come back year after year. We stayed in Cabin 1 which has a beautiful view of the lake, a jetted tub, and ceiling fans in both living room and bedroom. There was a nice deck overlooking the lake as well. Not all of the cabins have these amenities but you can call and ask and they will find something to meet your needs. There were nice touches throughout our cabin but the cleanliness gets a 5 star rating. There is a big home on the property for a family group to rent, and basic cabins as well. There are cabins with a slight incline/path and others where you can park your vehicle and unload right in front. Cell phone reception is spotty in the entire area but WiFi was great and was able to text and check on family. The office carries ice and other basics. Fishing licenses can be purchased online or a couple miles down the road at the grocery store or Reds Bait and Tackle. The resort is about 8 miles from the town of Bull Shoals which features the Dam and Visitor Center. Great view. The other direction is about 8 miles from Mountain Home which has restaurants, stores and other activities. There are 3 docks at the resort. One is an older wooden one, and two modern ones. They are covered, have electricity and a fish cleaning station. A short trip in your boat will take you to Lakeview Cove Marina , You can gas up the boat or park in a courtesy dock. There is a store and a place to grab a pizza, wings or other items. A little farther down you will see the Dam. The owners Stan and Kathy, and son Marty were very nice and every single time I saw them, they were working. In fact, when we arrived, Marty offered to help us unload our gear. Stan took care of our boat trailer. Marty helped us pull our boat out on the last evening. You just can't beat that kind of service. This is not a luxury resort nor is it your parent's old fishing cabin. It is something in between and for the price it was well worth it. This was our first trip to Bull Shoals...
Read moreIf you are looking for a relaxing place near a clear water lake to spend your time, this is the place. For eight years, we have chosen this location as our summer get-away. We have looked at a variety of other locations in the surrounding areas, made comparisons and will go to no other place. The owners are very friendly and will do what they can to make your experience enjoyable. The cabins are always clean and there are a variety of them to meet most family's needs. Our boys love returning each year and are making great lifetime memories. If you enjoy being on the water, you can spend your entire time without leaving the property between boating, fishing, swimming and relaxing. There are a variety of things to do within a short distance such as fishing the White River, jumping off a swing rope into a pond in Cotter or watching the fireworks in nearby Flippin over July 4th. Truly a great vacation...
Read moreThe staff, service, and view are unbeatable. Nobody shied away from answering questions and going the extra mile to offer top notch service.
The BBQ on-site is delicious, as are their snacks (you have to try the funnel cakes!). There is only outdoor seating, but the space is beautiful and there are covered and open spaces depending on your preference. The cabib had all of the amenities: fridge, coffee maker, microwave, shower, tv, adequate seating, and even an awesome deck space. Unfortunately, the supplied griddle was too large for the counter space and the wifi simply was unusable. Of course, when you stay here, you likely aren't spending all of your time cooking or using the wifi - so while inconvenient, it didn't take away from the enjoyment or experience of the resort. I would still recommend checking out the space as there are plenty of great...
