We found this campground last minute on a Memorial day weekend when our plans changed and were lucky someone else's plans changed and they had to cancel. I have camped all over the country in private parks, state parks and national parks and I love it when I find a gem...And this place is a gem. Lori and Mike are very welcoming and gracious hosts. They made us feel welcome ever chance we interacted with them.
The campground is in a great location. It's not on the lake but there are two boat ramps within a very short drive so bring your boats, Kayaks, etc... The white river access is directly across the main road and made for easy access. You are close to Flippin and Bull Shoals and groceries and supplies are easy to come by. White river Bull Shoals State Park is only a 10 minute drive away and the campground provides good access to crooked creek and the Buffalo National River.
The facilities are very nice and everything was clean and orderly. The bath/shower houses were always super clean and made camping without full hookups easy. They provide washer and dryer on site which also helped with all the laundry. The pool was clean and well maintained and allowed us to unwind and relax at the end of the day.
If you looking to Camp in this neck of the woods and you have stumbled across this campground don't hesitate to pull the trigger on reserving a spot here.
PS. PJ Crackers General Store is located where you turn off the main road. It's not a bar but they do have some draft beer. Their sandwiches were awesome as well as the ice cream. They have a good selection of fishing supplies as well. I really enjoyed hanging out with the locals and hearing all the things going on...
Read moreWell located campground for access to Bull Shoals lake and White River. Bull Shoals is a fishing Mecca. Buffalo River is also near by for floating, kayaking and natural beauty. Indian Rock House is a moderate difficulty 3 mile hike to a huge cave. The town of Flippin is 10 minutes with a Walmart and a few other businesses we did not investigate. SonLight has full hook-ups which can sometimes be hard to find in the Ozark’s. This is our 1st trip out post Covid-19 restrictionists so we were pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness of the common areas; showers, restroom, game room and camping spots. The nice size pool was quite refreshing. Lora, Mike and Onyx 🐕🦺go out of their way to make customers comfortable. I will return, with...
Read moreWe reserved a campsite for a 30 foot camper with one slide out. If you like camping right on top of each other 5 miles not a half less than a mile as told😩. You don’t mind asking the camper in spot beside you to move their vehicle so you can have a campfire 🔥 and if your able to open your awning for all the tree limbs your picnic table has to be put over the edge in the neighbors campground because our camp spot wasn’t big enough for our camper to park. When we opened our slide the neighbors could set on their picnic table and lean back on our...
