My family, 8 people, including 3 children, rented conjoined cabins. We were there for a week. I feel The cabins were misrepresented on the website. There is a reason there are no pictures on their website. The cabins are cinder block walls with paneling as room separators. The cabins need serious updating. They are basic fishing cabins at best, not what most would consider a vacation cabin. Everything, minus the sink fixtures in the bathroom, could have come straight out of the 40s. ||Everyday we found bugs/spiders climbing out of the cracks in the panneling walls or behind furniture . Sprayed raid several times in all rooms. We could not walk around without shoes on, socks/feet would be black with dirt. The rooms were very small and you could litterally wash your hands while on the potty. I have been on ships with larger bathrooms. ||We rented a potoon boat and were on the lake almost everyday. The boat was in good working order and the owner gave clear direction as to how to operate it. The water was clear and 80 degrees on most days. There is a rock only shoreline, no sand beach. The path down to the boat dock is very steep and you have to watch your step.||There was a fire pit for bonfires and roasting marshmallows. ||Everyday the owners fed the herd of deer that lived near the property. ||The owners were friendly.||It is a picturesque location, but the accommodations leave something...
Read moreJust returned from a week-long trip to Waterfront Resort with my Dad. The trip started off with major storms the first night, including tornadoes in the area. Unfortunately for us, a large tree fell over my truck, knocking power out at about 3:30am. Sarah and Dale (owners) were quick to call and make sure everyone was safe. Due to live powerlines over the door, we were not able to step out to check damage.
Sarah and Dale got to work as soon as possible, cutting away branches from my vehicle and getting power turned off to the lines. They worked all day through the muggy heat to clean up the area, get an electrician out, and still make sure their guests were taken care of. All of this on a busy Memorial Day weekend. I can't say enough about the work ethic and kindness the owners shared to us and the rest of the guests.
The cabins were clean and beds were comfortable. The location was great for fishing and close proximity to restaurants and shopping. The place was exactly what we needed for our annual getaway. Please put this place at the top of your list for your next vacation plan! Thanks again...
Read moreThe past couple of years to get a jump start on my spring open water fishing season, I travel from Roseville, Mn to Table Rock Lake just outside of Branson, Mo. This year I decided to add a few days before and explore Bull Shoals, AR. I did my routine resort research via Google. After looking at several resorts in the Bull Shoals area, I booked several days at Waterfront Resort, Lakeview, AR. Sandy and Jim owners were very responsive to my emails and reservations were easy. They offered four nights pay for three. The reviews were positive and when I arrived to of the most friendly resort owners I've had the opportunity to meet. My cabin #4, a one bedroom lakefront was perfect. The large picture window looked out over the lake. They have a new covered and lighted dock setup for my boat. Staying at Waterfront was a very comfortable and enjoyable experience for this seasoned angler. If you're looking for a nice place to stay for fishing, boating and exploring the Bull Shoals Reservoir. Check out Sandy and Jim`s Waterfront Resort. I'm rating Waterfront a 4.5......... Dave...
