Crumpler Mountain Resort — Hotel in Mullens

My husband and I rented a cabin and ATV from the owners, Shana and Chris. They were absolutely amazing! The cabin was a little rustic, but clean and well kept. We arrived late on Sunday night as we had rented the side by side ATV for the next day. Despite our late arrival, Shana called to check on us and then met us at the cabin. The next morning our ATV was ready near our cabin. They offered to take us on a tour but we decided to explore for the day. Shana and Chris own the resort and ATV rentals. They live on the premises and devote their full time and attention to the guests. We rented a cabin but also noticed many RVs on the site as well. Shana was available to us throughout the day with any questions.||As night approached, we decided to stay another night due to the very reasonable rates and welcoming atmosphere. ||Towards the end of the evening, we decided to head back and ask about any places to eat. Chris and Shana offered to take us down the mountain on some amazing trails not on the Hatfield McCoy Trail system--what an incredible adventure! They were awesome! we had dinner together and headed back up the mountain. ||These two are really awesome! I just wanted to update my experience with the owners of CMR. About four months ago I had some work done on my machine at this facility and made an unfavorable posting about them due to my misunderstanding of the work done. They, Chris and his wife, read the response and replied back with dignity however unfavorable my post. Well fast-forward to two weeks ago I had another issue with my machine, and brought it back to them for service again. Although they both remembered me, the incident, and the post, Chris and his wife both were very professional and respectful, serviced my machine beyond my expectations and did this at a fair price. The cabin was very primitive. Mattresses were not great. The shower curtain did not cover the shower area, so there was water all over the floor. There is not very much cookware or accessories. 3 coffee cups for 9 people? Also no no table inside. Just the picnic table outside. No other seating. There were ants that got into some food on the ledge. Also, we picked up a nail in the parking area in the trailer tire. We made it all work, but it could have been a...
