Wow. This wasn't a planned stay on our trip, we were planning on finding a spot when we arrived but it was pretty difficult with a limited selection in the area. When it came down to it, Samantha's looked the cleanest in photos and the reviews reflected the same. I called to be sure we could check in since it was so late and they informed me to book online for the most simple process and a text with the info would follow, it didn't take long after I booked to receive that from Denise with the info that it was also her personal cell if we needed anything. Upon arriving a little after 11p, the key box was exactly the code she gave me, so super easy entry and self "check in".
Walking in the door of room #1, which was themed as a boat house, the smell of newness, wood, cleanliness, and comfort. Truly one of the nicest experiences I've accidentally had, if not the nicest. It was very comfortable, they had a keurig with an assortment of coffees, some creamers, sugar and Splenda, mugs in a little coffee bar, plus lovely antiques that complemented the theme, and only 5 rooms, which is great and honestly made the nightly rate on par with the quality of the room.
So cute. So clean. So comfy. I want to make another trip just to book room there again, I think it's safe to say I definitely recommend staying here, especially if you're going to the crater of Diamonds. It's by far the best place in the area that I could find, and I've stayed at a lot of nice places in the past....

We came to see the Crater again. And needed somewhere we could park our trailer. As over the road furniture movers, we are pretty limited to where we can and cannot go.
Samantha's has truck parking for at least 4 semis! Such a blessing!
We were the only two rooms booked for the weekend. So quiet and peaceful. (Besides the sounds of the saws at the mill, which was cool to hear outside- unnoticeable from inside.)
And the rooms! My goodness!
My husband and I stayed in room 5, the Wild West Room. Absolutely no complaints! We stayed two nights, and by the second morning we finally got to see all the things this room really had. So much detail! Oh, pretty sure it's a temperpedic king bed! AMAZING night of sleep and no aches in the morning!
Our friend stayed in room 2, Thomas' Truck Room. So cool! A man's room for sure! Large rolling tool boxes for the entertainment center and bathroom sink! The coffee and end tables made of old engine blocks and the bed! The bed! Is an old pickup! So very cool. The nightstands are made from tire rims! And alongside, the antique dressers were absolutely beautiful.
Such an amazing place to get the chance to stay. So unique!
Thank you so much for such a wonderful,...
Read moreMost appreciated the feeling we were staying in a CLEAN place. It has a newly remodeled 'cabiny' feel. Bed was comfy, lived the soft fleece blanket I can echo the reviews about the towels, soft and plentiful and great water pressure. Directv is a nice touch. We were in the boat room. Very cute. Be careful if you have 'rambunctious' kids or are just clumsy, as the decorations are not affixed to the walls securely. There's what appear to be antiques in the bedroom, a secretary & a dresser behind the bedroom door (I fear could be damaged if the door is flung open too hard.) They provide an outdoor grill and a firepit with tractor seats. Even though between two highways you dont hear road noise at all, and only muffled sounds from neighbors. I saw a pileated woodpecker out back chomping away on a stump so intently it didn't notice me just 15 ft away. Our only complaint was no place to hang anything or to sit luggage. Could use a chair. We had to use the couch and bunk beds, fortunately we didn't need the bunk for sleeping, and got an over door hanger at...
