Magic Mountain Ski Resort — Hotel in Murtaugh

Snowboarding here is alright but snow can be horrific sometimes. The rentals are very broken and often fall off. Lodge is old and needs some updates. Tubing is also sketchy and many are hurt, not by their own fault. Food is not worth price at all, 20 bucks for two frozen chicken strips, a soda and freezer burnt fries, at pomerelle much better service. I also got stuck with friends, we walked pretty much down the entire road down all night when a guy passed who was the cat driver, said he would only take one of the four teenage girls back up the mountain for service. We obviously declined. He didn’t help. He apparently called police, and they claimed they sent cars up looking for us. We were on main road all night walking, absolutely no cars came. A mountain with ONE lift that goes to 7240' with 750' of vert and for five dollars less than Pomerelle. Spend the extra five bucks for over quadruple the terrain (Magic Mountain @ 120 skiable acres V Pomerelle @ 500 skiable acres) and more vert at Pomerelle (lodge is at 7800')! Food, facilities, and snow are all superior at Pomerelle as well...plus there are places to tube for free all day (a Magic Mountain gimmick @$25/person for 2 hours)! An amazing family friendly setting, in which all staff are helpful and positive. And as the Magic Mountain Ski Resort isnt supper crowded and/or modern type fancy, and is more of a comfy, homey, warm cottage feeling, its quite relaxing. They offer many services like tubing, skiing, snowboarding, food, clean environment, lessons, rentals, and even a well trained ski patrol team.
