Between the full-on construction zone, the hectic receptionist, and the super drunk man in the lobby, I would have expected to pay less than $150 for a room. I was greater by an obviously wasted drunk man on the lobby followed by the all-over the pay a little out of it receptionist frantically trying to figure out how to check me in. She gives me an active key card to someone's already occupied room (very awkward at 9pm or any time really) after going to complain about the room mix up she goes and physically has to check rooms to find me an empty one. In fear that she would do the same to me while I slept double locked my door and put the chair in front of it so a stranger with a key to my room couldn't just walk right in. (The receptionist also fully admitted that I wasn't the first guest she had checked into an occupied room) The beds were nice, but the walls were filthy. If they clean the walls, reduce price while doing construction, and replace the receptionist, it would be a 4/5 star experience for me. Oh and ask blasted drunk patrons to go to their room or leave if they aren't staying there instead of allowing them to pester guests.

Busy, mid-range hotel minutes from the Alabama Music Hall of Fame. Beds felt good, rooms look a little dated. The kids in the room above us were jumping off their bed for an hour at night and that was fun to listen too and a lot of motorcycle folks stay here so listening to them vroom off early in the morning wasn’t great either. I liked the inclusion of the Keurig coffee maker but was a little weirded out by the placement of it…in the bathroom…a foot away from the toilet. Don’t plan on sleeping in. Staff want you OUT in the morning and started knocking on our door at 9 am even though we put out the do not disturb sign and check out isn’t until 11:00. But, for a safe place to lay our heads for one night on a road trip, it was ok.

Wonderful hotel. Staff was very friendly Tasha was awesome. Spent thanksgiving week visiting family nearby. Staff made sure we had a homelike environment from checking to checkout. Breakfast was pretty good. Even had fruit cups, Greek yogurt and waffle iron in addition to hot food items. Daily coffee with gourmet creamers and teas were treats too. My kid enjoyed the indoor pool. Appreciated staff allowing a little extra time before it closed for the evening. Appears to be new. Great option for OTR drivers with a Loves truck stop next door. Other than the the big rigs it’s a quiet area (for a city girl). There are options for dining not too far away. Wish I’d taken better pictures but it was a wonderful stay.

After the front desk gave a guy a key card to our room where me and my 4 young daughters were staying in and the guy opened the door and stepped in our room then hurried to shut it when he realized it was occupied. I got dressed and went to see what happened and thinking maybe it was my husband off of work I opened to door to a strange man who apologized saying they usually stay in that room and they just gave them keys to stay in that room again. The manager, Amanda Beavers, was very unprofessional after I called downstairs freaking out about a STRANGER coming into our room and tried to make excuses by talking over me saying “if you would just let me explain, it was an honest mistake, there were actually TWO men (that makes me feel so much better, thank you for clarifying) and they stay here every week so the girl at the front desk made keys for them for that room” which is an excuse. Which made me feel as if she thought it was no big deal that strange men were given cards to enter MY ROOM with my children!! Specifically 4 little girls!!! She asked if we were rewards members which I replied I don’t know I’m traveling with my husband while he’s working and I started crying, I’m shaking, my face and arms were numb. My oldest daughter and I have been attacked in the past and this situation was completely unavoidable if the employees and manager would take their jobs seriously. Amanda offered me a discount for our room that night (Wednesday December 2, 2020) and I said ok. She asked if she could bring me up something to drink and leave it outside my door, I told her no, I’m fine. She asked what she can do and I told her to make sure note is taken so room cards aren’t handed out to anyone and rooms are double checked to make sure they’re available. We got off the phone. The next morning, my husband checked out and brought us our receipt. We were charged 275 for our first two nights which we were charged Sunday and was not the rate we were supposed to pay, I addressed this with Amanda on Monday and she said the difference would be eventually be returned to our account which meant it would be $102.03. The next two night were at the $95 something rate plus the fees making it $205 for those last 2 nights which we were already charged on Tuesday. At the bottom of the receipt it showed us getting back the $102.03 difference from our original first two nights of Sunday and Monday. That meant we received no discount for their mistake in giving two strangers keys to our room accidentally on purpose. I took the receipt inside and said to Amanda, hey we were in room 318 we were supposed to receive a discount for last night. She said “no you said you didn’t want a discount” WHAT. I said ‘Umm no?’ She argued again “yes you did, I offered you a discount and you said you didn’t want it” why would I not take a discount offered to me for YOUR mistake which made me stay in my room the rest of the night and morning trying to get myself out of a panic attack??? She took my receipt, got our her calculator did whatever and said ok you’ll be getting back $21 (whatever change) for the room last night. Took my paper and left. Then I realized she discounted the room $10.95 from the night before and changed the original $102.03 we were supposed to get back from our first two nights to $91 and some change. And added the $21 something refund under that to make it look like she did something. We are still waiting for this refund of $113.88 total for being overcharged our first two nights (the $102.03) and our whopping $10.95 discount for them breaking protocol and handing out key cards to already occupied rooms without double checking. I’ve already contacted Corporate and have a photo of the original receipt and then the last receipt where she moved numbers around. We had a pending refund from them this morning for $0.00. Sick of...

I will never stay at this hotel ever again! One and done. The manager had the nerve to come to our room knocking on our door and demanded that we open our door(I guess she wanted to see us naked) lying with her first lie by stating they don't do late checkouts and when I stated that is a lie, because I had just called down and the young lady told us the latest time she can do is 11:30. Then she changes her story and say, well they've been knocking on our door for soo long with no answer, lie #2, because when they did knock and we answer with a "who is it" like what a normal person would do, they walked away. (By the way, they knocked 2 times, and keep in mind they started knocking @10:45 and checkout is 11 am. She then proceeded to get an attitude because of her lies and demanded that we get out in 15 minutes or she's going to write a report and call the police!! Keep in mind now it 11:40 and we were packing up our stuff which was not a lot because we were only in town for our brother who beat cancer party and didn't feel like driving back to Atlanta where we stay and by the way we never stayed at a best western in our life, but it was the hotel our family booked the room for us and the only one closest to their home. I stand on that she is a Karen and tried to use her power and race to rush us out of the hotel like they were at capacity and needed the room. The hotel had maybe 10 cars in the lot, with one being ours! My husband played for the NFL, and I definitely added this hotel to our community list as a hotel to never stay at, and we reach thousands of current/retired players and also our wives club. I also filed with the BBB because of her actions. You should learn how to treat people how you would like to be treated!! You never know who you are talking to, Karen!!

P.S. One, it do not matter that the reservation wasn't under my name it was under my husband's name, and we are 1!! If you're not married, then you wouldn't understand that, and that's why you would make an ignorant comment about who's name was on the reservation. Secondly, you knocked on our door at 11:40 and knocked twice not many before I answered, so please stop with the lies!! Also, how did you get to the property at 12:30 if you were knocking on our door at 11:40?? We checked out at 11:58 28 minutes after our late checkout of 11:30. Oh, that was so long after checkout!! My husband was being sarcastic and did not apologize he only being nice so we don't have another encounter, so stop with another lie. He tried to stop me from talking to you and not stoop to your petty level, Karen, so you have a...

I had 2 bed bugs and 1 spider run over my face while I was in bed trying to sleep. Was basically told that I was the only one that had been in that room since it was “cleaned” was told they had a pest inspector come to my room and said they didn’t see anything then a few nights later another bed bug crawled over my face then a spider crawled over my face a few nights later. I flipped the mattress over and what I seen was super nasty and big bed bugs I could clearly see with my own eyes and nasty gunky stuff in between mattress and wall. When I got home I had to take my clothes off in the front yard and fumigade my vehicle. I have pictures and videos of the bugs and spider I swiped off of my face and the underside of the mattress and I plan on figuring out how to upload them to the reviews I stayed in room 323 for a majority of my stay (1month) and room 314 for the last couple nights of my stay. Somehow it seems like you can always hear kids running back and forth on the floor above you and the crazy thing is I was on the 3rd floor and there is no 4th floor. The elevator makes a loud ringing noise every time it reaches the floor and it sounds like it is right inside your room. There is no need to set an alarm in the morning as the hotel itself seems to wake you up at 630 to 700 am every single morning even if you work till 3 am 4am the hotel will wake you up a few hours after you go to sleep. The breakfast is almost 100 percent useless too me as they pick it up at 9am and they are so stingy they can’t even leave a bowl for me next to the raisin brand so I can eat a little bowl of cereal before I go to work. The rooms themselves have a little cube refrigerator with no cooktops or freezer and they have a small microwave. I hope the company I work for does not try to reserve this hotel...
