Self Creek Lodge and Marina — Hotel in Nashville

DO NOT RENT KAYAKS HERE!||A buddy and I met at Lake Greeson for a long weekend, thought it would be fun to kayak since we never had before. We paid 60 bucks for them to put us on a two-man kayak, we got about halfway out in the lake and realized that something was very wrong. By the time we got to the other side and made it ashore, our boat had filled with water through at least three different holes in the whole of the kayak they rented us.||||Luckily another couple in a real KAYAK stop to help. They helped pour out at least 100 pounds of water from the whole of the boat, which we have on video. They were lucky enough to have a cell phone we could use so we called the marina thinking they would come get us right away. Instead, they argued with us and insisted that the boat was it full of water and it was somehow our fault. They told us to wait at least 30 minutes for someone to come get us literally a quarter-mile away from the marina.||||We waited 45 minutes, no one came, so we decided to empty the boat again and try to make it across back to the marina. When we did actually make it, the guy who owns the place with his family saw us in his boat and immediately started blaming us and insisting the boat had have no water in it. He argued and yelled at us in front of customers and not only did he not give us our money back, these people couldn’t even apologize. What a pathetic display of customer service, and will never come back to Lake Greeson. ||||We were dehydrated, exhausted and in shock and they treated us like garbage! The owners are lucky we didn’t call Pike Co....
