Anyone who has visited this area knows that there are very few good hotels or B&Bs. Blossom White is a superb B&B. my wife and I spent 2 delightful days at this inn. Brenda is the inn keeper with her husband George. Brenda welcomed us immediately on our arrival and gave us a complete tour of the property and informed us of all of the amenities. This is a beautiful newly constructed custom home. It is spic and span clean and everything was kept just so. Brenda not only provides a delicious breakfast but was very accommodating of my wife's dietary peculiarities.. She went out of her way to prepare food that my wife could eat and what was prepared was delicious. I who eat everything loved the breakfast. It was a perfect breakfast, an egg dish with fruit and fresh juice. If you like Brenda has a variety of coffee and teas for those who like them. She also prepared a desert each eventing. For those of you who are looking at this to attend the pageant at Nauvoo, this is by far the best place to stay for many miles around, my son and his family stayed at another top rated B&B and it wasn't in the same class as Blossom White. . It is only 10 minutes from Nauvoo by the main highway. My wife and I took the Master Suite and it is gorgeous it has a separate bedroom, a separate bath and two walk in closets. The bath has a tub for 2 and a shower for 2 and is huge. Brenda pampered us through out our stay and I highly recommend this B&B. This is probably the 30th B&B I have stayed in and it is one of the top 5. The only thing that was at all hard was finding the location after dark. There isn't signage on the main highway and this is rural Illinois without street lights so it is tricky to locate the turnoff...
Read moreMy husband and I spent our honeymoon here. I don't think there are any words in the human language that could properly convey the experience we had here. It was purely magical, a dream come true! Brenda (and her husband) were the perfect hosts. They were warm and friendly. If my husband and I ever had plans that may have interfered with breakfast or the evening dessert, Brenda was more than accommodating! We loved our visit SO much that we even extended our stay another day AND Brenda invited us as her guests for dinner. Throughout our stay, we enjoyed wonderful conversations with Brenda and George, amazing food (the best I have EVER eaten - seriously, Brenda should write a cookbook!), a very relaxing and romantic atmosphere, a clean and magical (the best word I can use) Master Suite (so incredibly worth it, anyone who plans to stay here should really book the master), and friendship. I would give Blossom White 10 stars if I could.
And did I mention the food?? So savory. So satisfying. Everything I have eaten since then seems so dull in comparison.
We even plan on coming back for our first year anniversary!!
Thank you Brenda and George for the ...
Read moreI went here with a group. I happened to stay in the captains room, which is the smallest out of all the rooms. It has a full bed ( I think) where as all the other rooms have queens. It is much smaller than the other rooms, but nice. It has its own shower and toilet. The owners even have normal hotel amenities plus so chopstick. They have a iron in one of the common rooms as well as some complimentary waters in the small common fridge. The only negative thing that I would say that I didn't like, was that they didn't restock the common area with new things every day or clean the dishes. Otherwise it is a very quaint and cute place. It's a little out of the way to get to, but...
