AMAZING, WILL BE COMING BACK!!!

I can't believe I didn't leave a review right after our visit a year ago! This was our first get away (my fiance and I) and It was nothing short of wonderful. We are from the city and were doing some last minute searching for a quiet , comfy get away and were ever so lucky as to land at Sojourner's Lodge! My fiance gave them a call (at some late hour of the night) and the sweet lady that answered was able to find us a room that fit our needs perfectly and had us set up in no time!

She was patiently awaiting us when we arrived, gave us a great run down of the amish country and surrounding area since we had never been before, gave us great food recommendations, and even got us some movies to watch for our stay! I am sorry I can't remember her name, but she was wonderful the entire stay and always available if we needed anything.

Also to add, I saw a previous review of someone's poor experience, and they tried to blame it on the color of their skin. I am mixed/Black and my partner is Hispanic, and we felt 100% comfortable and accepted here (though to admit, this was a worry for us before coming, given the predominately white area) Not once did we feel judged or treated any differently than any of the other residents.

This place is a scam and tried to keep my security deposit. I called and they said they are keeping my security deposit because it was broken dishes which was MY OWN dishes I brought and drop the box before check out they did not have a broom for us to sweep it up. Also lied and said it was cigarette buds in the room when we never smoked in the cabin. Also because there was rose petals in the jacuzzi. Being shocked I had to ask her did she have the correct room. The lady then proceeded to tell me that I’m a liar and the house keepers are Amish and Amish people DO NOT LIE. Hung up on me and blocked me from calling. She said she would send pictures and videos but have not received I don’t trust this place at all and it’s sad because the environment and atmosphere was beautiful. Charging me for dropping my own dishes with no broom to sweep is insane and to lie about smoking in there is ridiculous. The lady I spoke to was very rude I hope it wasn’t a race issue because I don’t understand why they would go to the extreme to keep my security deposit. Also we cleaned and left the place in good condition besides the dishes that dropped out of the box maybe 2 plates they are...

Our recent five-day stay at Country Roads cabin suite was nothing short of amazing. The cabin itself was spotless—clean from top to bottom and clearly well cared for. It felt like walking into a private retreat. The furniture was both tasteful and incredibly comfortable, making it easy to settle in and relax. Every detail inside the cabin seemed thoughtfully chosen to enhance comfort and convenience.
